Wait this is dumb, and even more so for sign up threads, how are we going to attract new players? I am so against hiding this because two or three people are crying about it. I mean, if anything the thread title shouldn't be in all caps but hiding sign ups is a great way to not have new players join us.

Also, you switch between using CDT and CST in your opening post. You say that day end is 1800 CDT but mafia can QT until 1800 CST on Dec 1. Can you clarify timing?

It's CST, I forgot that we weren't on Daylight Savings Time anymore when I first drafted this. Thought I caught everything but I guess not! Good catch, I'll have it fixed for the OP of the game thread itself

It's more inclusive, and most importantly, it's less letters and syllables.

When I was first drafting the role PMs, I wrote simply "his" in reference to a player in a couple of spots, but I realized I was inadvertently excluding the women players in our community, so I went back and fixed all references so they mention both sexes and don't exclude any

I'm told by you and others that "their" is more inclusive, and that we are striving to be an inclusive community, so I will amend all references to "his or her" and "his/her" to read "their" for the official thread

Just dive right in! We all start somewhere. It's an intense game but there are a lot of talented players here who will be happy to help you along!

You should just play in this game.

To warn you, there's a pretty high time commitment. You can expect to have to read 10-29 pages a day and interact regularly, but it's also really fun, and you already play diplomacy.
