Convoy and moving ships

#1 Post by Nucha » Fri Nov 22, 2019 6:12 pm

Hey there I am new to this game and so very exited to get betrayed, my question is can you convoy onto a ship into another territory and still move the ship? Say for instance I have ship in the Arabian sea and an army in Iraq, could I move my army to SAR and then my boat to Bombay?

So that is a no, the issue is that I can Convoy move my tank and then issue another order to move my ship the other way but I assume instead of move you have to use the convoy action to help the tank.

Yes, you need to use the convoy order on the fleet to be able to concoy the army.

Yes, you need to use the convoy order on the fleet to be able to concoy the army.
However, you may order your army to move a LONG ways, via a number of ships all convoying that unit the entire way... a sort of string of ships. One long move.

Indeed, for example, it is possible to convoy your army from Wales to Syria

Which is pretty daft when you think about it - how many phases it takes to move a fleet from MAO to EMed - but an army can transit the entire length via convoy in one phase.

Completely illogical, yet surprisingly useful 8-)
