GM ANNOUNCEMENT

I know, I know, I know... you're probably tired of these by now. "Doesn't this guy know how to make an announcement all at once?" Definitely, no one should make this guy a mod. Jeez.

Anyway. You'll actually like this one, I think.
We anticipated needing about two weeks to get enough signups for this game. I am floored by the intense level of interest! And I know you're chomping at the bit to get started...

Therefore, we are going to start Wednesday, November 25 instead of Tuesday, December 1.

We recognize this places Thanksgiving in the middle of Day 1. Initially, we had scheduled around Thanksgiving - picking the first non-weekend start after Thanksgiving that fit our schedule. We think that by placing Thanksgiving in the middle of Day 1 -- with a full day and night to argue before AND a full day to argue after -- we will minimize disruptions while giving you the game you're dying to play as quickly as possible.

Also, to better accommodate our European friends, phase deadlines will be at 5:00 PM CST instead of 6:00 PM CST. We hope this will make it easier for them to participate during end-of-phase without disrupting anybody else.

If either of these changes is going to cause difficulties, PM me and we will work it out.

I’m just glad the phase shift won’t be during my workday like it has been the last several games. 5 PM EST was brutal.
