I searched 425 on Wikipedia. A Roman emperor took the throne, another one was born. I think that was 425 AD

427 BC Following the surrender of Mytilene to Athens, Athenians decide that the city will be destroyed and the population enslaved. In response to the pleadings of a number of Athenian citizens, the decree to destroy the population of Mytilene is reversed with only the ringleaders of the Mytilenean revolt being executed. As a trireme has already left with the first decree a second is sent to prevent the execution of the orders manned with a double crew so to travel without the need of stop for the oarsmen rest. Even with this provision, the second ship caught up with the first inside Mytilene's harbour luckily for the locals.

432 is the square of the area of an equilateral triangle whose area is equal to its perimeter.

Let an equilateral triangle have side x. Its perimeter is 3x.
Its area is 1/2 base * height. Half base is x/2 and from Pythagoras height is the square root of (x^2-x^2/4) or root3/2 * x. So area is root3/4 * x^2. We require area = perimeter so 3x = root3/4 * x^2.
Multiplying throughout by 4/x we get 12 = root3 * x. So x is 12/root3.
Area = perimeter = 3x = 3 * 12/root3 = root3 *12.
Square this we get 3 *144 = 432.

All this begs the question how do you do square root signs on your phone?

It is still frequently used today. Liverpool often used this formation last season.
