By the way, food, you get the opposite of OMSUG (is that the acronym?) from me. I've been amazed that I've been getting such a free ride. Definitely investigate me, but I think the dive should check how closely I've asked questions, investigated, and tried to dig up old posts.

I will say if anyone has a deathwish at this point it has to be Maniac, re-reading him flirting with death by challenging a decaffeinated Jamie to pistols at dawn and then adopting the "live fast, die young, leave a beautiful corpse" mantra at False Dusk.

If this was Werewolf I'd lean Tanner for him, but I don't see any role who would actually want to die here, so I have to assume he's either resolved for death at this point or simply feels it's a non-issue.

The thread is just getting too long for me to do the same sort of in-depth reads of everything everyone said that simply aren't possible in f2f. I tried, but it's doing my head in so I'll look at things more statistically.

A quick review of the D1 Maniac Wagon at #1318 (viewtopic.php?p=104466#p104466).

The basic points from that were that:

• Xorxes let the way in to the wagon, followed by Vapor and Emc
• Vapor led the way off the Maniac wagon to ND after Bozo's claim, followed by Emc and Xorxes a fraction too late, inadvertently tying the board for Thanos
• I then went on to ask why they went for Maniac and why they were quite so ready to jump off him when Vapor led the way
• They explained this plausibly. I had my suspicions given how much the rest of us seem to flail sometimes, but nothing I could put a finger on so I decided this was typical Dip paranoia and shelved it for later examination

Guess what? It’s now Later and I want to do my due diligence before we decide to either lynch or love him.

I’m still reluctant to rely on a gut check here, so I’ll look for facts and patterns that could be indicative… though I’ll likely need to leap to conclusions as to what I believe they mean because I don't actually have four hours to dig into everything and I have other people I want to look at before someone else gets banished.

Day 1: 29 Posts, 68.76 average Wpp. Weighted average of 0.604 posts per hour in phase.
Night 1: 14 Posts, 89.43 average Wpp. Weighted average of 0.583 posts per hour in phase.

Within the margin for error for consistency. Day 2 shows a sharp up-tick but Maniac almost got himself shot and then was almost lynched, so his excitement could be down to that.

Day 1: Voted for two now-confirmed town (X and W), two wide townreads (V and B) and one scum suspect who is now a non-CC’d Doctor.
Day 2: Voted for two now-confirmed town (B and Y), one general null-scumlean (R) and one suspect who is now a non-CC’d Doctor. Maintained the EP vote past False Dusk before shifting to Yuuki.

If we consider the Time Stone as being in the hands of the Town, Maniac’s stone calm at False Dusk pushes him into my Town Lean column. If we think Yuuki had already given it up or had it stolen before this (my current working theory for why he didn’t say something about his role before being lynched) and the stone was in the hands of the Mafia, this could point in the other direction. Maniac’s calm resolve (other than some trash talking in some of our direction) makes sense because he knew he wasn’t about to die. Unless he had the stone himself as Item Thief he’d need some measure of coordination to know it was held by a team-mate, so I will be looking at the early D2 posts in search of clues that could point to coordination between him and a team mate when I have the time.

I’d suggest someone with more meta knowledge (@Xorxes? @Nepthys?) do the same and report on anything they spy from that standpoint.

His scumlist was one confirmed town and two heavy town-leans (based on the generally agreed lists. Personally I towncore myself and I'm coming to feel the same way about Vapour).

I don't understand his play in D2, and I don't understand how after being widely scum-read he somehow wiggled out of a lynching after False Dusk.

@meta-gurus - how is Maniac normally when facing death, and does it differ when he's scum or town?

To borrow from one of Brain's early initiatives, I'm definitely rating him Chaotic and my sense is that he's probably scum... but if he's a SK (and I can't see him working with anyone really) does that mean we ignore him for now and look for the team?

tldr; Hard-read Tanner. In the absence of that, I don't understand him but I don't feel his play has been effective town.

Also, it's probably time I did another read list.
