At least from my perspective, I think his claim came too early once he hit 4 votes. I don’t think he was ever going to be a legit leading wagon on D1.

I think it was a panicky noob scum move, not a panicky town move. Using the last time he claimed doctor, he did it randomly and early, but there was some discussion and hinting he dropped instead of just blurting it out. I do not see the same hints this game.

Also, look at the role itself, it is a valuable town role, but also a late game role. If I were town, I would never actually claim it until the very last second, or at least just go down with the ship instead of broadcasting it, because even if true you are dead to rights.

Factor in the list of roles scum were given, I am more willing to believe he selected a role that would ensure town keeps him around until D5 and a potential lynch target. It would also distract away the town protection coming on future nights to keep him alive.

I agree with this, and Percy also seemed to think the role cop could scan N4, a mistake more likely to make if it is not his real role.
