Fantasy Simulator 2

#1 Post by brainbomb » Sun Jun 30, 2019 3:56 pm

There were voices all around me. I saw the land itself grow lush and fill with life. It was no dream... It was me. I did this...

Start Date : July 8th 2pm CDT
Phases: 48 hours
Game Size: Up to 15 players
Where: This game is played on discord only. There will not be any forum posts. To join the game click here: https://discord.gg/vu5E4Bq

●FANTASY SIMULATOR●
Every 48 hours there will be a new phase with a new crisis. you and the rest of your colleagues will discuss how to proceed on your adventure, how to address yoir problems. Your objective is to create a colony which can survive a variety of issues. There are four categories to maintain to ensure your colony does not collapse.

•(6) Food -> You must feed a populace and keep the people alive. For every 100 citizens they will consume 1 Food. At start of game you will have 300 citizens and 6 food.

• (100%) Health -> Health is influenced by a variety of factors. Diseases, famines, food shortages, lack of water, and curses can harm your colony health. You can build various buildings to improve this metric, as well as employ healers.

•(?) Water -> In order to farm, and have freshwater to consume, you need to f
dig wells, or be near a river or lake. If the colony runs out of water colonial health will deteriorate fast. Clerics and Druids can purify water, and create water.

•(100%) Morale -> If the colony begins to lose faith in its leaders it will disband. Morale is a very volatile metric that will fluctuate heavily. Morale can be improved in numerous ways, from players defeating foes, new legislation, civic improvements, and education.

If any metric reaches zero the game ends and the colony collapses

Will this episode be genuinely driven by the decisions of the players?

This looks super cool.

I've never played a fantasy simulator before. The survival element is giving me some Dead of Winter vibes, but the races are telling me D&D lite. Is this accurate?

How do these normally play out?

the ones with Jamie usually play out with him quitting due to low tolerance for ambiguity. much like his deadposting habits

Great! That is a radical departure from the first one, where Brain's NPCs were in c9ntrol and the players were often bystanders.

Ones actions in real life influence the world around them. creation is a shared process, especially in a non objective world. the only thing objective about these games is that they are fun, and eventually end. But until theyre done is a living story with many lead actors.
