What you did was not overtly against the rules, as Jamie pointed out multiple times. However, the rules of the game, from my perspective at least, are only part of the code that we play by. Like morality, this secondary code is not enforced in a legal sense although the disregard for it will often lead to a negative experience of those around.

I believe that your actions directly created a negative playing experience for an overwhelming majority of the players (many of them voiced this).

GMing, I have discovered, takes a lot of effort. I have put many hours into this game with the intention that I can provide a positive experience to all playing. Therefore any situation that could negatively impact that causes me concern. That is why I have asked this of you.

Probably not, unless they give me a good reasoning, but I have removed it before in an airports where its way more embarrassing.
My point is that Chiipie just don't give a shit about GMs and about making the game less enjoyable for the other players as long as it's not explicitly against the rules. This isn't how we should play.

Think of it like the GMs are the hosts of a party and a bunch of people are showing up to their house for the shindig. The hosts spend a bunch of time cleaning the house, cooking flavorful food and making sure everything is ready for a good party that everyone will enjoy.

Then they find out that half of the guests don’t like one guy who wants to come. They guy isn’t a felon or anything, he’s just unpleasant and rude to the other guests. The hosts don’t want their guests to have a bad time, or their party to be ruined, so they decide not to invite him. Maybe when Bob down the street hosts a party then Bob can invite whoever he wants.
