I mean really though, Durga is the obvious choice, (and this means chippe was indeed a VT). The only reason to lynch him is either because they just hate him or they thought he was BA. IMO, the former is more likely.

If we kill the BA, it's 5-2. NK to 4-2, and we're at LyLo.

If we don't kill the BA: best case for town is lynch scum to 4-1-1. Presume we lose 2 townies over night, making it 2-1-1, at which point we must lynch the BA, but the NK means scum win.

BA holding doesn't make sense to me. BA killing town does, though, more than BA killing scum.

If we lynch the BA today, we're in LyLo on Day 7.

If we lynch scum today, either the BA wins (if we don't lynch him D7), or we go to LyLo on D8.

If we mislynch town today, there are a bunch of permutations. But the BA wins about half of them, I think.

Again, check my math.

We may be in a situation where the best chance for both Mafia and town is to work together against the BA.

Possible they targeted BA and the kill hit scum but I really doubt that. Don't know why they'd kill Chippe over Squigs. It's possible though that they're desperate to find the BA and decided to rb their first choice and kill their second.

So what's your explanation of why there was only one NK?

In M39 I was mafia with ND (I got killed D1), and we were in a real bad spot. ND advocated for some crazy unorthodox NKs because chaos only helps scum, and if we had made the obvious kills, the status quo would have held and ND and (I think Yav) would have been lynched since they were the top scumreads.

These NKs look like an attempt to do just this - break the status quo. That would mean ND and/or Fox are mafia.

Would BA ND claim RB?
