Kazuya Mishima, the Devil of Tekken (and a smash bros character in desperately trying to learn) is correct! The protagonist of the first game, and later co protagonist in Tekken 7. However, he has played the role of the main antagonist in other games. thus, a pass on that question. Congrats!

I think his entry in smash ultimate makes him a pretty accessible guess. I was surprised to learn how many fighting games came out with their first entry in those 6 years…
