Ah shit, I messed up. One of our test games got me back into the rankings. I'll delete that for next month's and that should self correct.

Well, everything still sucks (or sucks more) but at least my live ghost rating has improved.

Like Carl is saying, I have to grind out some more.

We need to play though Carl! You've been succeeding a lot recently and I need to lose more often.

I’ve actually tried to make it happen in the past but as a parent I’ve only a small window after kids bedtime i could fit in and being on a west coast time zone things tend to be pretty quiet around here at that time of night. Damn those kids.

Interesting that my two GvI games with xorxes last month resulted in an overall rating gain of 9 for me while he lost 16 rating points... Can anyone briefly explain how the 1v1 Elo rating differs from GR?

If I remember correctly, the overall 1v1 rating is a weighted sum of the FvA and GvI ratings, where the weights are determined by the number of games you've played of each variant.

I played 5 GvI games last month, and no FvA games. Won all of them, but not against good opponents. This increased my GvI rating, and it increased the GvI part of my overall rating. So, in the end, my overall rating decreased by 7 pts..

I need to get some more press games in... So little time for fun these days. Gunboat is on the rise though

Luckily for both of us, I work at night - nights I'm off I'd be more than happy to play live at 1:00am my time. Magnetic, would you be in?

I assume you’re east coast? How many hours do these games typically last?
