Boston Massacre - June 21-23

#1 Post by RLH » Tue May 14, 2019 9:14 pm

Come one, come all, to the 2019 iteration of the Boston Massacre Diplomacy tournament!

This year will find us at the Boston Marriott in Newton, MA, from June 21-23. Rounds will be on Friday evening (7pm), Saturday morning (10am) and Sunday morning (9am), and as usual there will be prizes for Best Countries, Top 3, and likely other special awards as the TD deems necessary.

We always get a healthy mix of players, including first-timers, first-time FtF-ers, and players with experience both online and FtF. The schedule is designed to encourage players to go out on Saturday afternoon/evening and have some fun, and/or stay in and play other games (prior years have seen significant amounts of Terraforming Mars, Coup, and Avalon, among others).

There is a special room rate at the venue of $159/night available, but it expires on Friday, May 17th, so I'd recommend making a decision on your attendance soon!

For more information and how to register in advance (for $30, compared to the door registration of $45), go to www.BostonMassacreDiplomacy.com. Hope to see you there!

People in the area should make it out to this!! The people in the hobby are incredible and its more fun to play diplomacy f2f than online.

If you're interested in attending, and need some assistance in planning (be that transportation, a roommate to cut costs, etc.), just email [email protected] and I'll do whatever I can to help!

Sounds fun. I'd love to visit Boston one day. Not this year sadly.

What happens if you can only attend one round?

This is correct. While your odds of winning the tournament are of course increased by attending all three rounds, you're absolutely welcome to only play in one, and you'll still be fully eligible for awards!
