webDip cookbook

#1 Post by Matticus13 » Wed Dec 18, 2019 8:48 am

Trying to come up with some good, easy ideas to work into our regular rotation at the dinner table. Not picky. Omnivore. Enjoy things that are healthy and bad for my health. Entrees, sides, dessert. Anything you got, put it here so we can all try some new stuff. Bonus +1s for all!

This is what I learned on the last Mod teambuilding event:

Corned Human and Cabbage

One 3-pound human brisket, soaked in brine
2 Tbsp allspice
8 whole cloves
4 bay leaves
Assorted vegetables (carrots, squash, bell peppers, eggplant, onions, etc.)
Freshly ground black pepper

preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Place the corned human in a colander in the sink and rinse well under cold running water. Place the corned human in a large Dutch Oven with a tight-fitting lid; add the water, bay leaves, peppercorns, allspice and cloves. Bring to a boil, uncovered, and skim off any scum (many humans are full of scum). Cover and place in oven, then braise until tender, about 4 hours. Remove meat to a cutting board and cover with foil to keep warm. Add vegetables to cooking liquids and bring to a boil. Lower heat and simmer for about 20 minutes. Carve the human into thin slices and serve with the vegetables.

The problem with the diplomacy cookbook is that it only serves meals for exactly 7bpeople, the meals take upwards of 6 hours to eat, and nobody will talk to me for months after cooking.

And don't get me started on the online version

Apple Brie Stuffed Chicken. Just make chicken cordon bleu with Apple instead of ham and Brie for the cheese. I like also making a blackberry sauce to go with it.
