Icon meanings?

Can someone explain what the green lock beside someone’s name means? Mine is either a check that is green or empty.

It's the icon that shows whether your moves are saved (the grey/empty check) or saved and readied (green check). The fact that you see others as locks just means the game setting has it set as hidden, to prevent situations when players gang up on one for not readying up, etc... :D

Thanks for the explanation! One more question, if everyone submits orders before the time ends does the new timer start from right then?

Well, if they only submitted orders (clicked "save" but not "ready"), then the new phase won't start.

But if everyone clicks "ready", then yep - the new phase starts then.
