A few days ago I accidentally logged into webdip on a mobile browser using just http instead of https (I must not have https everywhere installed on it). When I came back today to the browser, my ISP inserted an ad on top of the page:

It really is a blatant Network Neutrality violation...but the current FCC led by Ajit Pai doesn't see this as a problem.

This is the issue, isn't it? If an ISP can MITM the connection, someone more nefarious could potentially do it too...and use this power to not only make you see more objectionable ads but also spread adware/malware onto your phone or computer.

Yeah, so that's not legal. You should submit a complaint with the FCC, not that they'll do anything. I thought that the type of advertising received on this new fangled internet thingy is based on a users activities on this internet thingy. So if you are receiving advertising for Russian slappers... Whereas I receive advertising for incontinence kit for the elderly & funeral insurance.

That's terrifying. Luckily we do have an https protocol, it's just not default. (Since no protocol is default... or subdomain for that matter.)
How high priority is changing our server settings to issue redirects to one singular site? From what I understand, it would help a number of things, obviously security, but also things like SEO
