This is also where the team aspect of the tournament comes into play. When I was a participant, we all monitored each other's games and sometimes collectively decided what press to send or tactics to do. Everyone's got to be a team player!

Ours was England.
To Goldfinger's point, we did monitor his game. We mentioned over a month ago that Russia was the obvious threat and that he should work with Germany against them. He decided against that and played the game he wanted to play.

Knowing him irl, he wanted to play the game his way, which just got on my nerves when he made suboptimal moves. I guess I am just salty.
