This message is a bit older, but I would have to say that it'd have to be a slow game - especially granted if it's full press. 3 or 5 days per phase. (even 7? Might be too long) The side effect is that the game would last to the next US election, but it'll be fun! One just needs to be dedicated.

Gamble for all the marbles. If other players make big moves and support others, then they will succeed... or fail.
This proposition is certainly interesting, any way it goes.
