Re: Is spanking an acceptable form of discipline?

I have to say that I didn't mean spanking in face. Personally I haven't experienced this and this is indeed traumatic for the little children. I meant spanking the parts that don't hurt at all :)

Re: Is spanking an acceptable form of discipline?

(It didn't even really hurt, I just pretended it did so they wouldn't spank as long) I think that doesn't depend on whether you pretended as it hurts, that's the actual purpose. My parents spanked me only slightly and I don't believe that this is counted as abuse. In the other hand, if it really ai...

Re: Pencil charged with Terror Attack

Today a federal grand jury revealed evidence that the 1996 Olympic Park bombings were actually carried out by a disgruntled #2 Pencil that was upset it couldnt find a nice pencil sharpener to jam itself into. Enraged the blunt pencil vowed to destroy society. It's the society's fault to frown upon ...

Re: Incel charged with Terrorism

Not necessarily, if you assigned a group's activities as terrorism, you may get extra police resources to focus on them. Extra surveillance, infiltration, sti g operations. Etc. Makes it easier to gain political support for this policing. I think it does matter. And with political support you may a...

Re: Incel charged with Terrorism

This particular incel is not a terrorist because, although he is violent, he had no clear political aim. If it was proven he had a political aim he would be a terrorist, but you couldn't apply the label to incels in general as they are not an organisation. Well terrorist or not, the result is same ...

Re: Multiculturalism Ruins Nations

How has any culture formed, if not multi-culturally? Multiculturalism, I think, can be applied to the moment that the first tribe of early humans met and interacted with another early band of humans. Some of them eventually decided to merge and eventually lead to cities and cultures that we celebra...

Re: Muting during game question/idea.

Just curious... can you give an example of the tactical or strategic value of muting someone? Honestly i can't think of anything :? There was a game, where if I do not mute someone who I had to work with, I would have lost my mind. He bothered me so much. So I played like in a gunboat. :) So I mute...

Re: Shared wins?

In my humble opinion, the purpose of this game is to get a solo, but sometimes it is a success to stop the enemy and create a stalemate line even with all the unlucky allies, and you force the board to a draw, this is more successful than an easy solo. What determines your success is hidden in the g...

Re: Shared wins?

I'm impressed by draws and I consider them a win. And I think that is the real beauty of this game. It is so open to interpretation. You can tell me all day long about the right way to play, and the right way to win, and the obvious optimal move. But the game is about people. And if a bunch of guys...

Re: How to change the number of players ?

For less than 7 players, you can try to create a Classic game with bot settings. I don't remember how to do this but there are special settings that allow you to play with bots while there are more than one player in.

Re: COVID Struggles

Eh, I thought I caught the virus yesterday because I was struggling with breathing, yet I had no fever. It turned out worse, I have air hunger now. On a forum, I saw many people get it during this confinement. That's something terrible.

Edit: Mine is a psychological thing, not a real O2 shortness.

More people staying home, coming to play WebDip, for one.
You are blocked from joining, rejoining, or creating new games for 15 days, 4 hours because you were too unreliable.

I asked mods too many times that now my shame prevents me to ask anymore.

Re: Managing an Ally's Bad Diplomacy

While the game is pretty dead, I will comment as it continued with all countries. Turkey had a lot of fleets in Mediterranean already and we saw a working Juggernaut on the board. For Russia, wouldn't it be safer if he agreed with Turkey (pretending this is happening before the builds turn that Turk...

Thank you, I understand the thing you mean. The actual question that I wanted to ask was more like: I see the upcoming danger for both me and him but can't make him see that, as he is trying to grab 1-2 more centers. How should I approach to a person like that? Can I directly say that this will cau...
