Re: Government Shutdown

And why aren't the streets full of government workers protesting against this crap? If the government in the UK tried it there'd be marches through every city every day. If the government in France tried it there wouldn't be a working speed camera or government building without smashed windows with...

So janitors, security guards, etc. are out of luck. Even for those who will get paid eventually, they...

Pride’s everything.

How do we feel about rebranding this next year as the “2019 Cascadia Classic”? Think it over.
Feel free to organize that one yourself, buddy. Ha ha

This was a pleasant read. I was expecting a series of far-right loony posts. Has webDip finally matured?

Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!

JECE, if I recall correctly, your method only works when powers are NMRing or CDing. No, my e-mail talks about "NMR'd or had been silent in press", "NMR or long silence in communication" and "length of time since each Great Power last sent press." I also touched on a separate method that works with...

Re: World Cup 2018 Signups!

Yeah, after the changes to anonymous games were introduced I explained to the mods how easy it would still be to break anonymity. The mods agreed with me, but they halved my cash prize because they thought my method " difficult to to ". If goldfinger0303's description is accurate, then ChippeRock's ...

goldfinger0303: Could you update the tournament webpage with the crossed out names of players that got replaced in their games, like the name of the original Russia in Group A Public Press? That was the norm in prior tournaments.

Re: Constantinople

yavuzovic:
The name was changed by Atatürk's government. You can read more here:

Also keep in mind that the "Classic" map is an established board game with decades of history behind it. It's hardly comparable to the "Modern" variant.
