13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Of you want to join game three, only 1 spot left!
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Six cancels! !?,.'a-/₩§"„‰{ serious lack of interrabangs on rhe iphone :(
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Only one cancel left. FRANCE!.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: France and Turkey, get your cancel votes in, please. Let's end this.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: (fortknox): OK gentlemen, we need to come to a conclusion. Either you can act like adults and do this by yourself or I'm going to come in and start yelling and force a decision that not everyone will like. The rules on this game were pretty straight forward and in the forum before the game and those rules were violated. It looks like it is everyone is up for a draw except one, and everyone is up to a cancel except one. I don't want to force anything on anyone, so figure something out, k? If someone would like to talk to me privately, please email webdipmod@gmail and put "For Fortknox" in the title, or PM me here.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: ^+1
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm cool with anything guys. england and france discuss and decide. i really don;t care about GR or anything
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: (fortknox): GR isn't affected by games that end before 1903 (or is it 1904?). Basically, an early draw doesn't affect GR at all.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm pretty sure games have to last past 3 years to count.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Since GR is unaffected, I'm going to push for a draw rather than a cancel.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Sorry, I was asleep, and now I'm back and there are only five cancels again.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: France,

How about you vote for all three and then whenever we decide, we won't have to wait for you.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Italy,
Because while I've agreed that I'll go with either, I'm not neutral between them, and I'll only go with a cancel if the six other players actually do want it. I'm happy to recognize a failure to get a cancel that lasted all morning long as a sign that the support for a cancel is tepid.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Semck: you are like a criminal demanding to make his own sentence. Italy was right, you should do the right thing and vote all three. Let us (the ones who did not break our agreement) decide the fate of the game.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: But, I have a feeling that my request will fall on deaf ears seeing as you seem to think that you deserve to get everything you want and do what you want without consequence.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Russia, I'm not like that at all. I already said I would agree to either possibility if everybody else did. I have just as much right as anybody else to vote or not to vote draw, cancel, or pause. I have made clear that I will leave my draw vote, and will be the seventh (but only the seventh) cancel vote at any time that I pull up the game and find six cancel votes in place. Last time I voted cancel, I immediately found that this was being used to strong-arm other players to vote cancel -- an outcome I don't particularly want, and (I am led to believe) neither do some others. Thus, I am leaving it off until six other players choose it by themselves.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: all of this arguing becomes pointless and boring once i've agreed to cancel...

I don't care any more, there is no 'like a criminal', it's just a game, it would be fun calling him a criminal if people wanted to play a game of words. Which this game was largely going to be. But now that we're cancelling you're wasting your time typing...

and i'm tempted to force cancel, because DAMNIT there's no record of what happened if a cancel is forced...
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: We have had six others before. And yes, yes you are like a criminal trying to decide the outcome of his trial and his sentencing.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Well, every criminal does that, Russia. : )
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: I continue to agree with Germany. This could have been a most unusual and extremely diverting game of Diplomacy, even once it had degenerated from once it was supposed to be. I regret that nobody else is interested in pursuing such, but such is your choice obviously.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Not true. In my analogy, you are an inside trader that was found guilty (much to his dismay) and is now saying that he should get house arrest instead of prison time. Might I also point out that it seems like you are pushing the draw because you have the MOST to gain from it.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: That is why you should vote cancel.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: I am pushing the draw because I want the record to remain. How do I have anything to gain from it? It won't affect my GR, and I assure you I'm not that excited about having another draw on my record.
And yes, as I say, virtually every criminal DOES argue for the lightest sentence possible. What's your point? (Not that I cop to being a criminal here, but even if I were, I'm not sure what your point would be. Of course I would argue for the lightest sentence. Duh).
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Bullshit! You want the points that you stole. Anyway, my analogy the criminal in question is not arguing, he is demanding to be a part of the decision, two different things. I do admit it came out funny. You want the record to remain my ass. Take a screen shot, print it off and frame it, there is your record.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Points that I stole? I have no idea what you're talking about. I think you're getting a little melodramatic here.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Er, this isn't PPSC. He doesn't get extra points. This is WTA...
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: And in neither a draw nor a cancel would I get extra points anyway.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Anyway I'm taking off for the day in five minutes. I'll check the vote status once more then.
13 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Catch you all later then.
14 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: I am only voting cancel until France has (and keeps) either all three, or both cancel and draw entered. I will be the seventh vote, mwhahaha.
14 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Turkey - why won't you vote cancel?
14 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: can i like declare myself leader here and make an executive decision?

we are drawing. thank you.
14 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: We have two clear reasons to draw rather than cancel that everyone has agreed are good reasons.
1) a draw will not affect GR
2) we can boot you, replace you (so no resign on his record), and then draw.

I am unclear why you suggested that you never intended to draw this game, since I thought it was painfully clear this game would go until we had a winner or we got bored and drew. I for one never had intention to cancel after fifty nor even ten nor even five game years. Since we are still under the GR radar, I see no reason why a draw is not acceptable.
14 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: I'm happy to support DJE's call, and if Jamiet would like to be removed before the draw that is entirely possible.

i'm willing to boot Jamie is he is agreed. Though i can't replace him with a dummy account because i'm not allowed have one. Or we can wait and have Fknox do it.
14 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: Any chance of people finalizing? I'm quite eager to see what the next set of moves will be.
14 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: If all of us entered all three votes at the same time, what would happen?
14 Mar 12 UTC Spring, 1902: One of the three sets would have to be completed slightly first, Russia. That one would presumably be immediately implemented.

Notice that Draug has agreed to take over England if such is the general desire. I for one would be fine with this, and would be fine with Jamie being removed without record and replaced, either with Draug or a dummy, if he and everybody else agreed.
14 Mar 12 UTC My sovereign territory has been breached by German troops! This is an outrage! I call on the international community to sanction and condemn these outrageous, unwarranted violations of international law!
14 Mar 12 UTC God dammit. I swear I had entered a convoy to Paris.
14 Mar 12 UTC (Obviously, by Sanction, I mean.... but yeah, anyway).
14 Mar 12 UTC No France. To quote any young child "but she started it!"
14 Mar 12 UTC Oh man, it's only myself, Austria, Russia, and Turkey left! Who will be the last to move?

Turkey obviously has the advantage, but it's still anyone's game!
14 Mar 12 UTC i got this suckers
14 Mar 12 UTC 2014 here we come!!!
15 Mar 12 UTC Oh, fuck this. I admit defeat. You are all idiots. I can't believe you wouldn't cancel. What a bunch of twats.
15 Mar 12 UTC Fuck, am I glad that's over.
15 Mar 12 UTC Aw, man, just when things were getting interesting. I figure I had about another 2-3 years and then I was dead, and Germany could have soloed. That would have caused me great happiness.
15 Mar 12 UTC i think it is obvious that once the game was over - and at least everyone agreed that - the rules no longer appliy... pity i didn't make it to paris :(
15 Mar 12 UTC I was pretty pleased with the defense I had planned. I think it would have taken you awhile to get anywhere. (Though obviously you would have).
15 Mar 12 UTC gascony is a great defensive position, and obviously you couldn't defend mars, paris, and brest.... but alas the draw(ers) won out in the end, so we will never know. (oh and you could defend both bel and hol with 1, but i think i'd have taken denmark... and made sure to talk to england...
