15 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello, everyone, and good luck.
15 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1901: Yes, I wish you all good luck too.
15 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1901: In bocca al lupo!
17 Feb 12 UTC Autumn, 1901: You can tell this is a world cup game by the fact that not a single person has readied their orders, there are 7 grey checkmarks :D
26 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1903: Pardon, gentlemen, but I might need a pause. My son spilled a soda all over my PC, and it seems okay, but the mouse looks like a dead soldier. I'm currently posting from my wife's work laptop, and that'll be fine until tomorrow morning, by which time I will know if I'm going to be able to keep working on it or not. I will be getting a new PC sometimes next week/early the following week so I'm not sure I want to blow money on a mouse right now. Further details as events warrant.

Fortunately, this is the only game I am currently in.
27 Feb 12 UTC Spring, 1903: False alarm, stole my wife's mouse for now.
02 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1903: My internetconnection has been broke since tuesday. The turn before it already had problems, so I've already lost at least one SC because of that.
Tuesday I ordered wrong moves because when I clicked on ready to change my moves, my connection was suddenly gone. After that, I did not have any connection since now.
It wasn't my fault, because I couldn't predict this would happen. Our provider installed a router earlier while the electricity connection to the wall wasn't suitable for that. They should've said that same time it wasn't suitable, but they didn't.
Now, at the start of this week it broke, and we had to wait nearly 5 days before someone could come to fox it. I wasn't able to find a way to get online.
The turn before my internet broke, it already went of for a few hours, which made me lose an SC (and an army off course). Tuesday, because of wrong orders, I lost at least on more SC an an army. Bulgaria and Serbia would not have been taken if I did not have connection problems. And with 2 extra armies, I would've likely gained more SC's.

I'm sorry to say this, but this game is messed up now. Turkey would've never gained Bul (so he wouldnt've been able to take Greece from Italy as well. Italy wouldnt've gained Serbia, and he might've lost Trieste as well. And Russia wouldnt've Budapest.
A lot of people got into a better/worser position than they should've been.

I'm not sure what else to say about this... I think it's terrible I couldn't go online. And that's just webdiplomacy. There have been so many more things this week I had problems with.
This game here is in my opinion to unbalanced to be an official world cup game. But at the other side, I wouldn't want everyone to start over again just because of me. Plus there are people who weren't even affected by all of this...
07 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm not going to be able to get on much the next two days and would like to request a pause until Friday.
07 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: There's a day left on this phase, and then a day and a half for the next, which gets us to Friday afternoon EST. Do you honestly need a pause at this point?
07 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: I just wanted to make sure. I could probably stretch it but, with minimal press. No need for the pause.
07 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Can we pause still? I too need pause but from Thursday night and until Sunday afternoon. I will have no internet access in that time.
07 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Yeah, same here. With this being the word cup, who wants to take chances?
07 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm traveling this weekend as well.
07 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Well, with four of seven players needing one, I'll vote for pause.
08 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Crikey. Well I hope it's clear to all that we need to cooperate starting RIGHT NOW if we're going to stop Russia from soloing.
08 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: I see I am invited too to this Italian crusade too, because one minute after this global message was posted I got offer from Italy for cooperation with him in secrecy. Italy do you have Pope Borgia as you minister of diplomatic affairs?
08 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Right.... I still wanted to cooperate with Russia after last turn. That totally happened.
09 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Right. It's go time everybody.
12 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Ready?
12 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'll unpause tomorrow evening if that's OK.
12 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Sure
12 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Sure thing.
14 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: Look, I'm going to say this publicly, and I'm sure Germany and Italy agree. Russia, you've done a fine job up until this year tricking everyone into letting you get this big. Well played. But at this point, you're not going to convince any of us that you desire any form of draw, three way, four way, any of it. The three of us are not going to act aggressively to each other until we're sure you're well behind a reasonable stalemate line, and all your continued attempts to convince us we should fear anyone BUT you are doing is insulting our intelligence and convincing us even more strongly of what must be done.
14 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1904: France, keep it easy. If any, I would say that you are insulting intelligence of Germany and Italy, they never elected you as their attorney and both are perfectly capable of speaking for themselves. Other than that you failed to mention England, Austria and Turkey. They are still part of the game, and they deserve the same treatment as others regardless of number of units they have at their disposal, or you only talk to people who have many units (as Italy and Germany) but not to many (as Russia)?

I dont see any purpuse of this global outburst from you than to tie Germany and Italy to youself to do the dirty work for you. Forgeting to mention other 3 players is good evidence of this...you consider them dead already. Very noble gesture...lets organize Crusade and stop evil Soviets he is so powerful that he will run us over...and you evil Soviet there, dont speak to Germany and Italy at all because I (France) wants to have exclusive right to this honor (should Russia ask for your permission to even speak with them?).

Throughout the game I exchanged messages with all the players and I will do it still if they want it too, I do not care wheter they have one unit or 10. I enjoy corresponding with some of them greatly, and I am playing diplomacy because I love to correspond with people. You crossed the line of good taste, my friend.
21 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1905: Good game everyone. Hopefully I can verse some of you again in the finals.
21 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1905: Good game, England.
21 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1905: gg England.
21 Mar 12 UTC Autumn, 1905: good game!
27 Mar 12 UTC Good game, my friends.
