Spring, 1901: It seems ridiculous that the pieces are color coded by type and not country. Am i missing something here. Once the action gets going its going to be very hard to tell whose pieces are whose (except your own...)
Spring, 1901: I believe that when a unit takes a region, that region turns the player's colour. So a unit will always be on the colour of its type.
Spring, 1901: That makes good sense. Cool.
Autumn, 1901: Hey guys, Sorry, I am new to this game. Can anyone tell me why Spain is not still under my control? Thanks! |
|
Autumn, 1901: You need to be there in the fall to take control of a new territory.
Autumn, 1901: Is there any way to make this go faster?
Autumn, 1901: We have to wait for Lindsay to resolve some action, I'm not exactly sure what, but it may have something to do with her losing a unit... The only way to make it go faster is to get her attention.

Autumn, 1901: Well Played Soph
Autumn, 1901: sorry guys! Internet in laos is not the best
Autumn, 1901: Lindsey, there are two functions, SAVE and READY. If you have saved, the game will not proceed until you have confirmed that you are ready. Please click READY.
Autumn, 1901: If people are down, we could start a new, faster game?
Autumn, 1901: The moment every person uses the READY command, the game proceeds. We could be having a turn every day if people made their moves, but I think the point is that people are busy, which is why we have such a long turn period.
Autumn, 1901: Also, how's your fancy residence, Sam?
Autumn, 1901: Meet any politicians?
Autumn, 1901: Meet any politicians?
Spring, 1902: Not yet. I'm hoping to snag Iggy soon, but it hasn't happened. I'm giving a talk on Thursday about election stuff, so I'm hoping some politicians come and I can dazzle them.
Autumn, 1902: Completely missed a turn. Sheeeit
Autumn, 1902: I'm trying to understand what went down between Germany and Russia at Norway and Sweden. Looking at the big map, it looks like Skagerrak attacked Norway, which Canceled Norways support hold of Sweden. And the Baltic Sea support held Denmark, but what was Denmark doing? Doesn't the yellow line mean a support attack? Duncan, explain yourself.
Autumn, 1902: Apparently I didn't properly understand how the support function works.
Autumn, 1902: I guess Sam got lucky. Meanwhile Austria is awol
Autumn, 1902: That support button is a real bitch.
Autumn, 1902: Remember, support is only useful if there is another army doing something in the region your supporting, ie: support hold from Buhr to Munich is only useful if there is already an army in Munich holding. Support from Baltic Sea a move into Sweden from Denmark is only useful if there is a unit in Denmark is actually moving to Sweden.
Autumn, 1902: I self indulged and made an alternative visualization of the map. http://www.sfu.ca/~jdk3/Fun/Diplomacy/ |
|
Spring, 1903: that's awesome
Spring, 1903: I thought you'd like it :D
Autumn, 1903: Fatality
Autumn, 1904: Dudes, are we playing this game or what?
Spring, 1905: vell, i think that it about it.
Spring, 1905: is* | |
Spring, 1905: :( | |
Spring, 1906: Sorry everyone, Christmas totally ruined my game. I think if we started again with quicker turns we would have better luck. |
