07 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Germany, can I ask you to give me Belgium back this year? You gained a center that you cannot even build for, while I lost a unit. I wonder if you consider an alliance with me at all. If I want to stay alive in this game, to get some DP points, perhaps I should ally with Turkey.
07 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: uh germany do you want turkey to solo? you keep fucking with the people who can help you hold him back. some semblance of your actions matching your words might be nice. if you really want to stop turkey that army goes to south, not to livonia.
08 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: I think Germany wants Germany to solo, to be honest :P
08 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: France, after some thought I figure I should leave you be, as you are now pretty much the only other power capable of holding down Germany. I'll move out of the western med and focus on Italy for the time being. I'm very open to negotiation about anything else.
08 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Thank you Turkey. I will not try to enter the Mediterran if you withdraw your fleets.
08 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: turkey, nice diplomacy! have at towards italy and we can have a nice fourway draw!
09 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1906: Austria, you've never kept your word to date. If you ever actually do me a favour, I might do you one in return.
09 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1906: France - if you're still there, my hand was forced when I saw that you were about to miss a turn. I will keep my fleet in MAO as an insurance policy, just in case you start to drop out.
10 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: I am here, sorry for missing a turn.
11 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Turkey: I would like you to move out of MAO, this sea is too important for my safety. If you are interested, we can talk about you pushing to northern waters, with my support. Or we can talk about you getting Marseilles, if you retreat your fleet to the Mediterran.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: France - I understand your concern, but you must understand that MAO is crucial to *my* safety as well. If you falter just once, and Germany swings aroung into the med, my goose is cooked. I hope I've demonstrated that obviously I have no interest in taking your SCs (if I did I could have taken some last turn, they were wide open) so it should follow that it is very much in your interest to forgo worrying about me and focus on England and Germany. Trying to dislodge me will be extremely counterproductive for the both of us. That said, I appreciate your offer re: Marseilles. Thanks, and sorry.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Austria - things aren't looking great for you I know, but you should know that I'd be much happier seeing you in Warsaw than Germany ;) aaaaand regarding the alternatives, I might as well make it public knowledge that I'll be support holding you in Vienna.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Turkey: Wouldnt a turkish fleet in North Atlantic or in English Channel serve your insurance policy better? I have to have MAO for myself, and would be glad to support your fleet towards German territories. I must take MAO back, or die trying. Let us do it in a cooperative way. Please send a note on where you want to go from MAO. If I do not hear from you, I will have to retreat to Irish Sea and try to take it back with force.
Thank you for your consideration.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: France - NA or EC do not serve my purpose, because my purpose is to plug the Mediterranean. MAO is by far the best plug. What do you gain from holding MAO? If Germany gets you there, you've surely lost by that stage. If you want it so you can defend against a stab from me (or whatever else to do with me), I'm sorry, but you're already laid bare - that ship has sailed - and yet thankfully for you it hasn't actually caused you any harm because I've seen our mutual interest and left you alone. Our situation is unusual and counterintuitive, but what I'm saying is rational for both of us. You simply can't fight all of your neighbours at once and expect to profit from it. I invite you or anyone else ITG to explain just how I'm wrong on this.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: You should know that regardless I'm going to be moving my Tyrr fleet into a support position, so even if you do end up moving Liv-Irish and then against me in MAO, I'll just end up retreating into one of your centres before autumn rolls around and you'll be stopped dead. Your only gain an ostensibly worthless bit of water...?
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: So what do you suggest and how do you see me leaving this game with some dp cash in my pocket?
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Whatever it is, it will certainly involve you taking England and Germany's SCs. I won't pretend that I don't want to win, but I'd certainly be open to a draw if things appeared to be heading in that direction. Happy to discuss, to the extent that we can on the global thread.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Worst case scenario for you is Germany solos on centres he takes from you. Worst case that I could have a hand in is me soloing, you surviving in tact and getting about double your cash back.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: I am open to a France-Germany-Turkey draw. If you folks like that idea we can just destroy the others.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: I am open to a 3-way draw.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Turkey: It seems Germany is still after me. I can promise I will defend myself against him, and put pressure on him as much as I can. In return, I would like to ask you not to weaken me a few more turns, the final blows for your win can come my way.
11 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1907: France: Thanks and don't worry, like I say, I don't intend on weakening you as long as Germany is still kicking.
14 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Turkey, what say you for a draw?
14 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: My gut says maybe.

France, gascony was just to make sure that Germany didn't get the chance to sneak one through and take Spain. Nothing has changed otherwise.
14 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: France, Turkey's betrayed you. If he doesn't want to draw with us, how about we defeat him together?
14 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Oh I see.
14 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Turkey: I would like to ask you not to move more fleets across the Gibraltar, and to concentrate on Italian centers that you promised to do 2 years ago. I want to stay friendly with you and will continue pressurizing Germany. I am OK with you winning if I finish with 8 or more centers.
14 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Of course, we are in agreement. Thanks.
15 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: We ought to draw after Italy's defeat
15 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1909: thanks for the game, turkey congrats on the eventual solo!
15 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1909: thanks to you too :)
16 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Turkey: Thanks for covering Gascony, I do not need it any more. I suggest you take Portugale now from MAO, and move to MAO from Gascony. I believe I can take a center from Germany, so I will not have to disband.
16 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Thanks France - I'll do as you suggest.
16 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Would you mind terribly if I did Gasc>Spain instead?
16 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Before I say OK, could you spell out the orders you are planning with your 3 western fleets?
16 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: Gas > Spa
MAO sm Gas > Spa
WM sh MAO ?
16 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: ok
17 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1910: France, would you please consider supporting me into Munich?
17 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1910: Yes, I am thinking about it. I may or may not do it, let us keep Germany guessing.
17 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1910: lolol very good
18 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: I am cutting Ruhr
18 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: Turkey: I am OK with you now taking Portugale. Together with Rome and possibly Munich, you can get to 18 now.
18 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: :) Thanks very much France
18 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: Turkey: Can I ask you not to take any more centers from me? Moscow is guaranteed for your win. I will basically just support hold my centers this year.
18 Oct 11 UTC Autumn, 1910: Of course, don't stress, I'll probably be able to snatch Moscow.
19 Oct 11 UTC Spring, 1911: You can have Moscow. You're welcome. Just march on in.
19 Oct 11 UTC I am going for Kiel, it will be cut. I presume Munich will also be attacked?
19 Oct 11 UTC Yep. Well played everyone :)
19 Oct 11 UTC So does anyone know where the name of the game comes from? What is "Owl Ninety-Two"?
19 Oct 11 UTC No idea, but I played a game called Owl Eighty-One about a month ago, with the same rules
