Game won by Geowiz (236 D)
20 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1904: Germany - maybe you should concentrate more on keeping France from wiping out England (thereby surrounding you with a bunch of fleets, I might add) than on harassing me!
20 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1904: You spent the entire game attacking me, I have no reason to assist you.
20 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: The only attack that this player made against you was when I moved into Budapest. And that was more of a pre-retreat than anything. All the attacking was done by whoever controlled Russia before me.
20 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: And as I pointed out before - if you and I fight, the only winner is Turkey.
20 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Great, he's at least not calling to me for help after he makes his aggressive moves.
20 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Russia, you annoy me. How about you just stop playing so I can take Warsaw and St. Petersburg?
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: What, and miss all the fun of scrambling around for SCs? No thank you! How about you leave me alone and concentrate on the soon to be 9 SC France on your border.
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Back off Austria!
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Looks like you don't have to go after me anymore! France is CDing!
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Thanks for defending St. Petersburg for me, Austria!
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: You are insufferable.
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Well, your options were to allow a strong Germany to gain an even stronger position on your flank, or stop him. You made the right choice.
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: I also had the choice to be attacked by three of four neighbors right off the start. Wait, no I didn't. This game was over for me before it began.
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: The game isn't over until you've been eliminated. With the right diplomacy, one can survive nigh indefinitely.
21 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1904: Sure.
25 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Dear France and Germany,

Turkey is about to win. He only needs my last two SCs and Italy's 5 and that's Game Over. Please come and help.

Sincerely,
Russia
25 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Supporting GoB to StP.
25 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Um, it would be physically impossible for me to maintain a position in StP...
25 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: *Also supporting GoB to StP
25 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1905: Most likely anyways. Depending on certain circumstances.
28 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Looks like you're going to lose Vienna either way, Italy - How about you support me into it and then later you can probably take it away from me again?
28 Jul 11 UTC Autumn, 1906: Actually, Russia, I would support hold you in Vienna until I could retake it.
31 Jul 11 UTC Spring, 1907: Fleet for sale! Fleet for sale! Support your attacks on coastal provinces! Convoy your armies into central Russia! Anyone who doesn't want Turkey to win is free to contact me at: Russia.beatturkey.net@aol.com!
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: I think it's pretty obvious who's going to win. And I don't think France would be willing to put off fighting to help destroy Turkey. But if you want to be smart, I'd gladly give you back Edinburgh and try to moving East.
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: Sure! I'm happy to do that. I'm having trouble in the med anyway. Tell you what: Give me Edinburgh; we'll make the North Sea, the EC, Picardy, and Burgundy all DMZs; we'll fight Turkey.
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: count me in for the fight guys
03 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1907: *Cough* Anyone want to help the guy who has home centers in Turkey's backyard?
05 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Dear Germany, please don't attack St. Petersburg this turn. I know it's tempting, but I really want to make sure Turkey doesn't win - and if you kill me, your best chance of stopping him goes out the window.
05 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Also, anyone notice that Turkey might win this turn if he takes A) Rome, B) Venice, C) and D) any two of Tunis, Mar and Spain?
06 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: I hope that you realize that I am the kind of levelheaded person who is perfectly willing to draw with one or two other people.
10 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: You gonna click "Unpause" Italy, or do we have to contact the mods?
10 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: P.S. - I already did. You've had more than enough time to log in and unpause. Jerk.
11 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Dear Germany - there is no point in you taking Saint Petersburg away from me this turn - you will not be able to build anything anyways, as all three of your Home Centers are occupied. Please allow me to Pruve how much I want to stop Turkey by accepting my support!
12 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Ah well. Good game all. Especially seeing as I came in under someone else's Russia in a bad position. *sigh*
13 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Good job on destroying a unit of mine with no way to replace it, Germany, just fyi.
13 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Yes, I understand full well what I did. I didn't want the build. I just wanted to make sure if I lose Munich or Berlin, that I would still remain at 9 SC's when Turkey won. Hopefully Turkey is willing to Draw now, but if not I'm still strong enough to hold my borders for another year. Sorry France, but it looks like Turkey is going to get Spain really soon.
13 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1908: Of course, since it's impossible for you to lose either of those SCs, your move was really more of a dick move than anything.
14 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1909: Well, once Italy has been eliminated I think that a draw would be acceptable.
14 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1909: i would say that i have played a valiant game and deserve the draw. but thats for you guys to decide. italy is a bad hand to be dealt
14 Aug 11 UTC Autumn, 1909: turkey if you let me keep rome i will use my fleet to help your fight against France! what do you say?
17 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: Alright Turkey, it's the final three. Draw or win, I don't really care as long as you hurry it up.
17 Aug 11 UTC Spring, 1910: Turkey won't ever win if the two of you choose the right orders each turn and don't do anything to disrupt one another. Hint hint - France, you shouldn't forget to order your units to defend Spain and Marseilles like you did last turn!
18 Aug 11 UTC Congratulations, France, you just gave the game to Turkey.
18 Aug 11 UTC Everyone submit their moves, I want to get this over with.
18 Aug 11 UTC All you had to do was Gascony supports the hold in Mar and MAO supports Spain and Turkey could never take either! Fool!
18 Aug 11 UTC Says the eliminated player.
18 Aug 11 UTC Who took over a bad position way back and never had a chance to recover from it.
18 Aug 11 UTC To paraphrase:"With the right kind of diplomacy, one can survive indefinitely"
18 Aug 11 UTC Proper diplomacy is impossible in public press only games. The point of diplomacy is to be able to make plans with other players IN SECRET.
19 Aug 11 UTC Such a flaw, truly.
