Spring, 1901: Good luck to everyone
Spring, 1901: I'd like to say right now that when I inevitably conquer the world *cue evil laughter :)* I don't don't have any hard feeling against you. So, good luck and have fun and all that :).
Spring, 1901: Come on Germany...
Spring, 1901: Can you click on ready? I want to finish the game on 1 month, not 1 year ;) You don't need 10 days to think about this |
|
Spring, 1901: italy, france and germany click on ready please
Spring, 1901: Agreed | |
Spring, 1901: Ugh. So close...
Spring, 1901: Hey italy can you ready up?
Spring, 1901: Italy - I can see that you logged into one of your other games just 45 minutes ago, but you haven't logged into this one in two and a half days. We're all waiting on you to click ready.
Spring, 1901: Maybe 10 days it too long... :)
Spring, 1901: Italy what is taking so long? I even sent you a private message. By clicking on your name we can see that you have logged in within the last 12 hours, even if you did not sign into this game.
Autumn, 1901: draw? | |
Autumn, 1901: why? | |
Autumn, 1901: for italy
Autumn, 1901: He is currently playing
Autumn, 1901: Italy hasn't been seen in 17 days...
Autumn, 1901: lol | |
Autumn, 1901: I would agree to a draw or cancel because of Italy.
Autumn, 1901: Or we can wait for Italy CD
Autumn, 1901: Italy are you kidding us?
Autumn, 1901: What a jerk
Autumn, 1901: what a stupid
Autumn, 1901: This is a death march.
Autumn, 1901: Hi all - because of Italy's intransigence I'm not going to play this game. For personal reasons I will not be available to finish a game that is stretching out to 10 days per move. I signed up for this game in the hope that we would avoid players forgetting to submit orders, but that everyone would click ready as the title suggests and it would move quickly. I suggest that everyone else go ahead and click either Draw or Cancel, and if Italy remains stubborn we can simply email the mods and explain the situation and I am sure they will be happy to cancel at that point.
Autumn, 1901: You idiots all decided to play a 10 day phase game. Stop complaining about it. Just because italy can't check his computer daily like the rest of us doesn't mean we should quit on him. I'm just as annoyed with this game as the rest of you but to be completely honest all the whining is more detrimental than the waiting. Russia, play the game you signed up for. You can't tell me there will be a time when you can't check in once every 10 days.
Autumn, 1901: Italy has been regularly signing in to his other games but purposely ignoring this one. (At least he was doing this a couple of weeks ago.) I was able to see this by going to his profile and looking at the other games he was playing and seeing that he had recently signed into them. He made a point of not submitting his orders for this game until the very end of the 10 day period. France, as I explained above, I signed up for this game that is called "Click on Ready" because I counted on people doing just that. The fact that they haven't doesn't make me an idiot. Because there is a player who has consistently refused to sign in and ready his orders, we will be unable to finish this game before I will be without internet access for substantial periods of time. I wouldn't say this if it weren't true. In the relatively near future I will be quitting my job, traveling abroad in a developing country, and then going backpacking in the Rocky Mountains for about a month. We've only played two moves so it's not like it's a huge loss to cancel the game. You can go ahead and be nasty and call me an idiot and a whiner, but I don't think I'm being unreasonable. |
|
Autumn, 1901: Agreed with Russia. I've created this game called "Click on Ready" to everybody click on ready to play more fast possible. And Italy comes to webdiplomacy all days, so, he just can play here. He is a f*ckin jerk
Autumn, 1901: I just want to reiterate that I am not going to be able to play this game, so please go ahead and click Draw and/or Cancel. Otherwise you are going to have to wait about 40 days for me to go into civil disorder. Sorry to be difficult, but this is because of Italy's intransigence.
Autumn, 1901: I've voted draw/cancel, now it's up to Germany,, Italy and England
Autumn, 1901: I've done the same
Germany, Austria and Italy, could you vote for something?
draw | |
so do it! | |
(fortknox): Honestly, it being only 1902, I think you'd be better off canceling than drawing, but I will do what you guys want, which is draw. Note, there is nothing wrong with waiting until the end of phase to submit an order (in fact, it can be a strategy for some to wait). If you want to make a "gentleman's rule" for clicking on 'ready' before the end of phase, make a forum thread about it, get 6 more people that would be willing to do it, then make a private game and give the other 6 the pass. Organizing before the game is the only way to add additional 'rules' you want to play by. |
|
(fortknox): I should note that the mods may or may not recognize any additional 'rules', but you can definitely make a case if you have something in writing before the game started.
Can you cancel this game yet?
thanks for drawing for us, it wont happen again
