20 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 1901: So does anyone want to be Austria's ally?
20 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 1901: I'm sure someone does. No telling who though ;-)
22 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 1903: I guess Italy didn't want to be my friend...
23 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 1903: That's not necessarily the case.
24 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 1904: Looks like Germany REALLY doesn't want to be my friend.
24 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 1904: Actually Germany seems to have issues with everyone...except Turkey
25 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: I may not be very good at this...
25 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: From the SE corner it appears that Austria and Germany are getting along famously ...
25 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: You're just trying to get a little extra support ;-)
25 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: You're doing pretty well so far -- 9SC and no one else has more than 5.
27 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: So does everyone want to work together to push back against Germany?
27 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 1904: :-(
29 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: There, happy? I gave back Vienna.
30 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 1905: Heh heh. I don't think "gave back" is the right verb when I had to attack and hold it. But, yes, I am happier :)
01 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Oww.. double stab by Italy -- Austria is going down...
01 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: "stab" implies a certain level of prior friendliness. We had thus far been unopposed, but that's never a guarantee of continued neutrality.
01 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: true, but still funny.
02 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: In fact, I don't actually have any desire for you to go down just yet. You should destroy your fleet. With my help you can hold up decently in the north for at least a little longer and I can also help you contain Turkey.
02 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Don't listen to him. It's a trick!
02 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: Not really. Turkey would be in too strong a position for my taste if Austria goes down. I can't simultaneously attack Austria, eliminate Turkey, and fend off Germany. Whereas, I can help Austria fend off Germany and deal with Turkey. I'm not sure how long I can keep Austria from falling to Germany, but better a few turns before I have to fight Germany in the east than none.
02 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: I just wanted some pasta...
02 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1906: ROFL
05 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Turkey, I saw your peace offering. If we're to survive, we need to work together or Germany or Italy will win. England and France aren't long for this world (England might survive by working to help Italy survive the German assault in France).
05 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Yeah, I'd help Italy.
05 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1907: Not that there's a whole lot I can do.
05 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: You might be surprised by what we can accomplish, England.

Turkey, I also noticed your support for myself. I'm sorry for my previous semi-hostility. I am willing to be peaceful with you, so long as you neither help Austria to take Greece nor take it yourself.

Austria, my offer of peace is still open. Germany is a bigger threat to you than I am.
05 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: I won't move further against you Italy. If you move out of the Ionian I'll move from the Aegean and then Albania, Trieste. That'll free up some of my armies to pressure the center of the German line. And it will show Turkey that he's safe too.
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Well, you have my ear Italy. Since you're the only one around besides Germany.
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: You all know that Italy's only doing this to take the win for himself, right? I'm setting up a solid front east of Switzerland, so the only place that you all will really be able to advance is in the west, and I don't see too many Austrian or Turkish units over there.
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Of course he is but Italy is 10 SC from Victory, not 5.
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Ahhh, but will Italy instate pro-Austrian reconstruction efforts after the war? Because that's one of my campaign platforms.
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Heh heh
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: A vote for Germany is a vote for economic stability!
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 1908: Austria, I will allow you into the Ionian.
07 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Oops. I forgot about the can't-support-dislodgment-of-your-own-units rule.
07 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: "Forgot" eh? That's what they're calling it these days?
08 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: I'm moving to the Ionian again...
08 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 1908: Sigh... Looks like nothing can be done. Germany -- I'm just going to protect myself against Turkey until you win.
