27 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 2024: [Russia]:Nice cover.
27 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 2024: [USA]:I'm holding Beaufort... hmm what else could you have a chance at taking... oh NWA, got that covered.... WAO, no that's covered too. I think that's it... too bad Yak isn't on the north coast, then you'd at least have 3 on AC, not that it would matter.
28 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 2024: [Russia]:If you two are really so confident ... why don't you tell us the moves that aren't obvious.
28 Nov 10 UTC Spring, 2024: [Russia]:I don't mind being mocked if it's actually helpful.
29 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 2024: [Quebec]:How do you call 36 to 49 a stalemate?
30 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 2024: [Oz]:Number of units has nothing to do with it. Surely I don't have to educate you on what a stalemate is.
30 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 2024: [USA]:probably not, but I'll do it anyway
30 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 2024: [USA]:stale·mate

30 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 2024: [USA]:I don't see much regarding score there... or number of units :P
30 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 2024: [Russia]:Seriously? :)
I haven't said much up till now - thinking the stalemate talk was all in good fun. But, there is a difference between a tough fought battle that progresses slowly and one that isn't moving at all. Clearly Oz has been retreating the past several years - in addition to losing SCs. I admit that you guys are well fortified, but that doesn't mean that won't change. It looked like a stalemate in Africa a number of years ago as well.
Now, if you two are just tired of the game or you don't feel its worth your time anymore and you're ready to throw in the towel, then that's a different thing and you should just say so.
30 Nov 10 UTC Autumn, 2024: [USA]:My point is, no further progress or sc's will be exchanged between Russia/NE and USA/Oz. Losing Africa was inevitable with the amount of armies and the couple fleets surrounding, so recently Oz had to give up 3 fleet locations - MCh, Mad, NWI as well. If you count the territories, there isn't a chance at further progression into Antarctica or the Pacific sc's without some mistake on someone's part.
01 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2025: [Russia]:Well, you may be right. Although, I think there's still room.
How about this: play through the end of 2030, if nothing of note has changed (eg, we pick up another SC, or make landfall on Antarctica, or something) by then, I'll click the Draw (for my part anyway).
01 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2025: [Quebec]:Why do you have to be so pompous with everything you say Oz? Yeah, why don't explain what a stalemate is since you are such pretentious smarty pants? Or you could just admit that you are tired of the game and are just trying to save your butt by calling it a stalemate.
02 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2025: [Oz]:Ignoring the troll from Quebec, I'll explain in exquisitly long, boring detail how this game is a stalemate to our two worthy advesaries from Russia and Middle East when I have time (which may not be for a while since I'm extremely busy at work). Right now, I'm going to go to sleep.
02 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2025: [Quebec]:Oh boy, this is going to be great. I can't wait. Oz is going to share his great wisdom.
-Sincerely, the troll
03 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2025: [Russia]:Oz, no explanation necessary. Especially since you are so busy.
03 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2025: [Russia]:Thanks though.
03 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2025: [Russia]:Apparently, you can't help take out your own guy. :) Who knew?
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2026: [USA]:4 more years :P
06 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2026: [Russia]:I see that the strategy is to bore the stronger party to a truce. Well, it worked in the Revolutionary War, maybe it will work for you two.
07 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2026: [USA]:I don't think it's a matter of boring you, it's a matter of your inability.
07 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2026: [Russia]:Ouch.
07 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2026: [USA]:That wasn't an insult, but another reference to the stalemate.
07 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2026: [Russia]:Oh. Gotcha.
08 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2026: [USA]:I don't think you're going anywhere Quebec.
08 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2027: [Quebec]:As fun as England is, I'd really like to go somewhere warmer for Christmas.
09 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2027: [Oz]:I'm surprised you didn't pick Brazil.
10 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2027: [USA]:aannnd I forgot to do orders... lol
10 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [Russia]:Uh oh.
10 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [Russia]:You should have told us you weren't going to put in orders!
10 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [Quebec]:I couldn't decide on Rio or Sao Paulo.
11 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [USA]:so much for me missing moves! looks like it didn't matter :P
11 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [USA]:2 more years?
12 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [Russia]:3 more, actually --- if we don't gain any more ground.
12 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [Russia]:feel free to miss more moves if you like. :) since it doesn't matter anyway, right? Sounds like you guys are just as good whether you play or not.
12 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [Russia]:You know, we don't have to wait until time expires every round.
12 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [USA]:I think Oz said he doesn't like playing much on the weekend, doesn't have time
13 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2027: [Russia]:Gotcha.
15 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2028: [Near-East]:I think it might be time to draw.
15 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2028: [Russia]:You've worn out Near-East - and yes, I think you've finally worn me out too. Well played - a few different decisions throughout the years on our part and I think we could have maybe cracked a hole - but at this point it's a long shot.
So, I concede.
Thanks for the fun.
16 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2028: [Russia]:I didn't realize you guys had demands for the draw you've been asking for. Hmmm. Just got the note ... not sure we'll get orders in this time.
20 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2029: [Russia]:That was a good game y'all. Although, I'm sure we'll all admit, our busy schedules are grateful it's over. Take care.
23 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2029: [Quebec]:You guys are classic. Claim that points don't mean anything and then spend your time taking me out to call a draw when you know the game is over.
23 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2029: [USA]:I said points don't mean anything? Does anything mean anything? It is just a game after all. The game's been over for quite a while... I just don't want to draw with an army in GBr not doing anything or contributing to the past 15 years of the game.
27 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2030: [Quebec]:Oz has said points don't mean anything.
I'm glad I mean that much to you that you need to spend your time in a broken game taking me out. :)
27 Dec 10 UTC Autumn, 2030: [USA]:I'm glad I can make you happy while eliminating you from a game.
29 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2031: [Quebec]:Wow, so much for a draw.
29 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2031: [Russia]:I'll take a 3-way draw IF the Oz player goes into CD. How about that, Usa and Near East?
30 Dec 10 UTC Spring, 2031: [Russia]:Ok, Oz has left. You want that draw?
31 Dec 10 UTC [Russia]:USA, you want the draw?
