22 Dec 20 UTC Good game, unfortunately the end game had people who actually knows stalemate lines.
22 Dec 20 UTC Good game – well played France!

Germany, why didn't you support Belgium in fall 1902? France getting Belgium there resulted in both of our eliminations.
22 Dec 20 UTC Good game, the only option you had right here would have been to withdraw from the stalement line and let me eliminate Italy to take the two way draw, but it´s fine like it is.
22 Dec 20 UTC GGs, what France said, darned smart people :/
22 Dec 20 UTC GG
23 Dec 20 UTC Turkey, I don't believe in thinning the draw. A draw is a draw.
23 Dec 20 UTC After 1903 my goal became to make sure the complete idiots were eliminated from this board. I'm glad Austria and Germany indeed bit the dust.
23 Dec 20 UTC Ah, there it is. You know I love asking for feedback, Claesar. What was it about my 1903 moves that ticked you off so much as to put me in the same category as Germany? ;)
23 Dec 20 UTC I'm glad Claesar can support my frustration with Germany
23 Dec 20 UTC Apologies for taking Norway off you by the way, figured I might stay alive to a draw in Stp once the island was lost
23 Dec 20 UTC Germany was a bot, so there won't be any answers there.
23 Dec 20 UTC '03: You're at war with Turkey and Italy, yet you think it's a good idea to attack your only friendly neighbour in Rumania.

'04: Last year could perhaps have been justified if you though Turkey would ally you, but you attack them too.

'12: You're fighting Turkey, but again you attack me as well for no apparent reason other than to suicide. You're even in Galicia for no good purpose and I have a fleet in Rumania, so there was no threat whatsoever.

Your play was abysmal all game, in my opinion. The only reason you survived this long is because I held Turkey back. Until I could no longer due to your erratic poor play.
23 Dec 20 UTC I guess the tl;dr is: Don't attack all your neighbours all the time. You can't survive that.
23 Dec 20 UTC Is there a robots.txt to prevent fairbot joining?
23 Dec 20 UTC There is not.
23 Dec 20 UTC @Russia/Claesar, I mostly agree with your comments, ty for them. I really do appreciate feedback (I haven't forgotten your other advice from speedboat). My moves in 1903 were 100% garbage.

I think my only response is, you put a lot of importance/emphasis on how much you weren't attacking me, and how absurd it is that I would then go and attack you. But as Austria, I feel that letting Turkey out of the box is certain death for me (besides the rare A/T). So while I'm very appreciative when Russia leaves me alone, imo it's an empty gesture if Russia (or Italy) isn't also helping attack Turkey.

Let's look at Spring 1911. I use GAL to signal support to you, which I knew you may or may not accept. I then attack GRE for two straight turns, F11 and S12, making my intentions pretty clear. RUM holds on both turns, signaling to me that you don't want to help me fight Turkey.

I expect a counterargument from you to the effect of "well, what do you want me to do, you were in GAL *and* you played terribly all game, both are dealbreakers".

I didn't expect you to accept the alliance, and I'm not saying you had to work with me. I think R/T was the better choice for you in 1912. I'm just saying that your lack of doing anything with RUM signaled that you were content to hold your nose and watch me die to Turkey.

So, having gotten your message loud and clear, in F12 I started making moves to try and survive as part of the stalemate line, which meant attacking you. Of course, if anyone in this game thinks that my interpretation of the double RUM hold is completely wrong, please say so. I'm not trying to be obstinate with my long-winded AARs, I'm just trying to explain my reasoning so I can know where I went wrong.

...okay I can't help myself, one last thing.
"Held back Turkey" yeah idk about that. I forced you out of RUM in S04 which is the only reason you even took Ankara in A04. You might argue this held back Turkey...but Italy was in ION and support holding me in TRI. Turkey wasn't going anywhere. You then went on to support CON into BUL in A06, and then again in A07, and again in S08, and again in S09.

You did take Ankara on your own in A09! And then proceeded to keep attacking me by trying to move to BUD and BOH on the next turn. Then A10 is me kicking you out of GAL while also bouncing your attempt at BUD...and then we're back to S11 when *I* signaled support to *you*.

Obviously I'm both biased and an abysmal player, and you did say that by 1903 you just wanted me dead (which can explain away basically all of your moves after 1903), but it seems like you're being extremely generous to yourself to portray your moves this game as benefiting me because you "held back Turkey".
24 Dec 20 UTC Okay what? Why the hell is there a bot playing in this game. If I had known bots could join I would not have chosen to play what ended up being a long painful slog of a game. How can I avoid joining games with bots in the future?
24 Dec 20 UTC @Austria: All your comments are fair. I was being extremely generous to myself, in hindsight. I'm not sure any Russia will ever appreciate signals given by a unit in Gal, but I did see them. I intentionally held Rum because I wanted to remain neutral. All this is true.

@England: That isn't possible. The bot wasn't (directly) responsible for making this a long slog though.
25 Dec 20 UTC The way the bot played certainly made the game quite miserable for me. And if you are correct that I can't avoid playing with this bot in gunboat then I think I will avoid playing gunboat for now. Playing against a stupid person is frustrating; playing against a stupid robot is pointless.
