22 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Oh, shit. Sword is here. Game on.
22 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: I'll send some press after dinner but thanks for joining everyone, have fun.
23 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: I'm really looking forward to this! I'm honored and thrilled to be playing with this group. Enjoy the game, everyone.
23 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Sorry for the delay friends. We JUST wrapped up "Media Wars" on Sunday (which I didn't expect) and I've been scrambling to get my sh** together to publish something. But the silver lining is...that match is over and so I have at least one hand free to play in this one!

Thanks for putting this together. I'm excited to play a relaxing (yet high quality!) game that is lower stakes than my other recent Press matches. Can't believe I'm calling GR challenge lower stakes but it's true...

Oh wait I drew Turkey nvm.
23 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Oh wow, the game has started!

Presently, I am your humble, moderately-intoxicated correspondent, and will attempt to write good press as soon as I am able. Excited to play with you all!!!
23 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Hi everyone! Sorry for the absence, I don't check the site often. Or, didn't! I'll be here more often now that there's a game on.
23 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Also, I'm in UTC+10, so if there are slow replies it's not because I don't like your suggestions. I definitely like them.
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: How's the hangover, France?
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: It was a slightly difficult morning. The gym also reopened post-COVID, so my atrophied self attempted to lift weights for the first time in six months... oof. Tonight I'll just drink coffee and catch up on the press I've been heinously lax in writing!
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: > The gym also reopened post-COVID

I'm so envious! It's going to be a while here before that happens. I've been working on my new hobby- getting fat.
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: I actually got into great shape during the pandemic, lowering my resting heart rate from around 77 to 54. I have done a bunch of non-gym exercising like running up and down neighborhood hills and body weight exercises. All by my lonesome!
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: That's awesome! Do you wear your motorcycle helmet during a run?
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: Without confirmation, we'll probably assume you do.
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: I started running for the first time during the pandemic. Always avoided running because I'm worried about a bum knee but it's been great. Can do 5k a couple times a week now. Between that, cooking more, and going to bars less, pandemic has strangely been great for my health.
24 Sep 20 UTC Spring, 1901: I actually wear a wide-brimmed straw hat, which I am told looks ridiculous as a running hat. But the elastic band keeps it on my head, and it is comfortable and keeps the sun off me.

I'm with you Yonni. I saved a lot of money also not going out.
24 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: The pink one, aware of my inebriation, has taken advantage!
24 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I think there’s a lot of that going around, inebriation or no.
25 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: I once had an English player claim "well, it says English Channel, so I thought it was fine for me to move there".

I don't remember what happened next. Possibly I had also been drinking.
25 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: In my country it is called La Mans by its French name. When I lived in Germany I heard them calling it La Mans as well.
25 Sep 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Huh, I didn't know that. This comment prompted a super interesting read, thank you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/English_Channel#Name
