28 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Hey all
Currently travelling
Low freq comm for now
28 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1901: Safe travels
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: holyyyyy that's only my 2nd misorder on this site and that is a doozy
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: I use the preview function quite a bit.
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: I do too...I'm just going to blame it on infant-related sleep deprivation like any other mistake I make haha
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: I just had a pretty bad misorder in another game. It's always the one time you don't look at the preview because you're rushing in orders before bed.
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: My preview looks, frankly, awesome.
29 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: What is this preview function?
30 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1902: Thanks everyone for your patience with me, I've had a very busy 24h.
30 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1902: @France, most right button of the little arrows below the map.
01 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 1902: ok guys, I'm pretty sure I'm going to take Tunis this turn.
02 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Would you guys be fine with a pause after this spring phase? I'm going to pretty tied up on this fourth of july weekend.
02 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Sounds good to me! I wish they had a setting for automatic pauses over the weekends haha
02 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Fine to me. I suggest we enter the pause votes and you pause when you need.
02 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1903: You can always PM the mods to pause without votes if you have a good reason
02 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Oh yeah. My age is showing.... when I joined the site the mods didn't just pause games for you.
04 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
04 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: Hm. Looks like a bug in the webdip code that GameMaster printed this right?
07 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: Moderator: (dargorygel): Unpaused... sorry for the delay. Enjoy the game, and contact us with any issues at webdipmod@gmail.com
11 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
11 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1904: Can I switch to Germany haha
11 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1904: My bad folks, in the middle of moving house.
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1905: same question :)
15 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1905: Fuck I really should have asked for 48h -- rip RR
16 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1905: RR?
16 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
16 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1905: RIP
16 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1905: Hey everyone. I've taken over Germany, but my aim is to try and pick up where he left off as it doesn't seem right to suddenly break alliances, if any do exist!

I'll make my way around you all and see what's what...
21 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
21 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: Well that sucks
21 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: nooo my perfect reliability rating! Just completely missed that I had a turn ending soon...I'm the worst.
21 Jul 20 UTC Autumn, 1906: All's well that ends well.

Shall we ready up and get it moving?
23 Jul 20 UTC Spring, 1907: I will post here in the global to be easier.

There is a clear stalemate on this position and I am voting draw. I will not attack Germany or France and there is no way ATI can advance.
26 Jul 20 UTC I put up my draw flag. Turkey would be the only nation wanting to continue.
27 Jul 20 UTC gg. Thought me making a stab could convince England to try to be proactive, and force an opening to make a solo run, but he wasn't biting.
27 Jul 20 UTC Sorry, I wasn't totally convinced about your stab. And I am not a great fan of thinning the draw unless it was a tournament game or someone really don't deserve to draw.
27 Jul 20 UTC wut
27 Jul 20 UTC Did we draw?
27 Jul 20 UTC Hm
27 Jul 20 UTC I guess Turkey decided the only action he's likely to instigate is an attack on himself perhaps?
27 Jul 20 UTC To explain, I don't have any real interest in thinning draws. I just like playing games until someone has a chance to solo, and ending in 1908 while the leading country had 10 centers seems like a premature ending to me.

To try to keep the game alive, I went and stabbed Austria. I hoped that me doing that would mean the grouping of England, France, and Germany would back off from the line and start fighting, and I could try to position myself for a solo through the chaos.

I asked England if he wanted me to draw, and he responded with:

"I will not stab Germany and Germany doesn't want to stab France. Can we cut Italy and Austria and then decide if we set for a 4-way or cut France?"

I voted draw as soon as I got that message. From that, it was clear that the west was going to just sit at the stalemate line while I slogged it out vs. Austria, since I figured England didn't have a reason to lie to me. I enjoyed working out the aliance with Austria early in the game, so my preferene ranking of outcomes was:

1. Solo
2. Draw with Austria
3. Draw without Austria.

If England wasn't going to bite on his chance to try to consolidate power and make his own solo run, me soloing wasn't a likely outcome, and I didn't want to keep wasting people's time on me slogging out a boring fight against Austria.
27 Jul 20 UTC I'm just happy that a game where I misordered and didn't pick up a build in F01 and then battered myself silly against an A/T who were inseparable I somehow made the draw :)
