24 Jul 20 UTC Although with some reservations, this game was for me a good example of the Russia-Italy alliance and how it can work well in a complete game. Austria was playing strange for me, opening to Rumania, although we (Russia, Germany, Austria) had agreed on a cooperation early on. However, I decided to kick Austria out of Rumania straight away. After that, I needed to do a lot of hard work to kick Turkey out of its corner.
Had very little contact with France, but obviously the dominating power in the West, so a well deserved draw for the three of us!
24 Jul 20 UTC Had a good cooperation with France from the start. We both benefited from this peace and focused on our other neighbors. Austria was in a though position and I took advantage of that.
After that collaborated with Turkey agains Russia’s expansion. After a few unfortunate moves Turkey was not able to defend itself and Russia and I decided to bury the hatchet. Meanwhile I supported France in its attack on Germany. Apart from some strange moves at the end a good France-Italian collaboration with a fitting conclusion.
24 Jul 20 UTC Thank you all for the game.
25 Jul 20 UTC Thanks to all for an interesting game. The long time peace with Italy made things less stressful for me. Towards the end I got suspicious that Russia and Italy might be collaborating a little too well and I developed a vision of a great battle with Germany, England, and France pushing them back. When I did not get one move that would have given England another build coordinated in time that was a deal breaker on that crazy idea. So I asked to go back to the negotiated three way draw and Russia and Italy nicely agreed.
