01 Sep 20 UTC Good game. There was some high-level play going on. Turkey's convoy to Albania showed me I was in for a fight. And after Spain was gone it was clear Germany was he deciding power. Kudos to Poland for holding out as long as he did, Turkey for immediately recognizing the danger, and Germany for coming as close as possible.

My first Modern Diplomacy II game. It seems like there's a lot of stalemate lines. Turkey and I basically established that in the Med 6 years ago. Fun though.
01 Sep 20 UTC Great coordination, Italy. Tough to do in gunboat. The flip to the west was critical and at the time I feared that it had come too late but total credit for placing faith in me and committing when you did.

I made some critical, critical late game blunders that could have easily cost us the game if Germany had guessed correctly, the most glaring of which is still there: a misorder in the failure to order Kharkov to Kiev. I don't have the stalemate lines in this map memorized well at all, but do believe that we were good and there was no way for Kiev to be forced (or Volga or Podolia for that matter).

Really enjoyed this. Thanks, all.
