08 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2002: Sorry I had a busy day ;p
08 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2002: Sorry I had a busy day ;p
09 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2002: GG all, folks. I've learned a lot from this game. As there's zero hope for me to turn this around, do you prefer that I start "auto-holding all my troops rather than keep actively defending?
09 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2003: Up to you my friend, anyone you want to delay out of spite? Always makes this interesting when players build up grudges
09 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2003: I'd be fine either way.
10 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2003: It's your choice, really. I appreciate the fact that you have kept on trying until the very end, it shows true persistence and an optimistic attitude toward the future. But yes, auto-holding would be nice, although it is up to you. I hope you don't want to delay me because throughout this whole game I have done nothing but deceive you, but really I can't do anything.
10 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2003: Is the final plan a three way draw between Spain, Ukraine and Egypt?
If that's so, I'll be happy to oblige and speed up movements accordingly
10 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2003: Probably
10 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2003: The final plan is a French solo
10 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2003: Germany, don't give up. So long as you have an army on the board you can get a draw
10 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2003: You should go on to the end.
You should fight in France.
You should fight on the seas and oceans.
You should fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air.
You should defend your homeland, whatever the cost may be.
You should fight on the beaches
You should fight on the leading grounds
You fight in the fields
And in the streets
You should fight in the hills
You should never surrender!
14 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2003: Dang, honestly didn't expect France to get so wiped out this season, though I didn't ever inspect the lay of those armies in Germany.
14 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2003: Oh nvm, with that retreat things look closer to what I'd expect.
17 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2004: Just finish France off, so I can stop defending :)
20 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2004: Thanks folks, congrats Ukraine and Egypt for theyr 2way win
20 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2004: Congratulations to the Soviet Union for re-establishing the iron curtain, and to Byzantinium for conquering Italy and restoring Rome
20 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2004: No need to stoke fear in Spain Germany, the Arab-Roman League is contented with a tripartite pact
20 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2004: It doesn't look like that, Egypt. It's not as if I have any stakes on it anyway.
20 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2004: Ah darn, the exiled French live another day.
20 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2004: I propose Franco-Iberia occupies the remainder of German-controlled Germany.
20 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2004: The free people of Croatia have asked for help establishing their new revolutionary regime. We have experience running France, then Italy, then Austria, with a brief excursion into Berlin, though this will probably be our last job before retirement
21 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2004: Won't ready up as I'm going camping this weekend folks, will see you all on Sunday
23 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2005: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
24 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2005: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
24 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2005: Hello All, new spain here, Open to offers or a draw and calling it a short day
24 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2005: I also wish to express my support for the new Croatian government
24 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2005: Welcome, new Spain. We hope you take better care of France than your predecessor did.
24 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2005: Do we have a new Ukraine too?
25 Aug 20 UTC Spring, 2005: Same Ukraine.
26 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: Why are the three superpowers fighting each other? You don't get points for being the biggest power left: all points are shared equally between the remaining players. And it's basically impossible to do a two way draw, and none of you can realistically solo. Why don't you just parcel out Germany between you and my final territory can go to either Ukraine or Egypt
26 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: Because the point of this game is to win, not to draw...
26 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: I thought we were just parceling out Germany.
26 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: Moves that don't help achieve that also don't necessary make that go slower. Spain fighting in the North isn't slowing them down in Germany.
26 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: We can draw it out, i just viewed the fleet positions in the north as quite threatening but drawing seems to be the mutual goal
26 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: Germany: the point of the game is to do as well as possible, but soloing in this situation is barely possible and risks antagonising the other players and getting yourself destroyed. However, if they really want to go for solos then best of luck to them :)
26 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: Is Germany dying this season? Assuming the two of you in the North work together, you could take the 3 remaining territories and prevent retreats into free centers.
26 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: Slo would just have to take Austria, Hel or North Sea>Hol, Ham Support Bel>Ruh, Sax support Ber>Fra, Als support Swi>Mun.
27 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: The Croatian government supports the plan to liberate Germany
27 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
27 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: Lovely.
27 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: Unfortunately, the German government has to issue orders in order for Spain and Ukraine to conquer it
30 Aug 20 UTC Autumn, 2005: The French/Italian/Austrian/Croatian government-in-exile is proud to see that the treacherous German state did not outlast our own
31 Aug 20 UTC I see no blue tiles on the map, dear french, while Germany occupies Alsace and Saxony.
31 Aug 20 UTC The great Arab-Roman league would like to convene a meeting for treaty signing in Croatia, all powers of Europe are invited.
31 Aug 20 UTC Though we would also accept another 6 months to clean up the rogue German guerilla forces.
31 Aug 20 UTC There are no rogue German forces anywhere. They died like they deserved to
31 Aug 20 UTC The Unified kingdom of Iberia, Francia, and the Isles accepts this great peace and will send representatives to Croaitia.
31 Aug 20 UTC Good game folks. Zagreb was a beautiful visit.
01 Sep 20 UTC Good game. Glad to play with all of you.
02 Sep 20 UTC Good game everyone
