Spring, 1901: Good luck to everyone who isn't going to attack me!
Spring, 1901: I just realised this is 'rulebook chat'. I don't know if the person who made the game intended that, but it means that we can't talk on here before builds or retreats, so it might be good if we all exchange WhatsApp or messenger or something (because i know people will talk about the game during those phases by other means)
Autumn, 1901: Good call!
Spring, 1904: I received the most interesting offer from Austria. They offered me thirty pieces of silver, if I'd but sell out my word of honor. I took Greece instead.
Spring, 1904: **** The working class of Russia, on seeing the plight of their International Brothers of the Revolution, have determined that no price is too high in bringing down the Imperial Capitalist Fascist Oppressors. We have liberated Serbia. Now we will destroy all of the Austrian Lapdogs of the German Imperial Agressors. **** |
|
Spring, 1906: """ And so, with the death of the Capitalist Fascist Imperial Aggressor’s Lapdog and the Liberation of the People of Austria, have the freedom to join in the Revolutionary Dialect, the People's Eternally Revolutionary Army now sets its sights on the Imperial Fascist Capitalist Oppressors of the German Peoples (and those they have expanded their Oppression to, namely the long suffering Proletariat of the Russian People's Republic (which we have decided, in this Five Years Plan we will change the name to include all the People liberated in the Eternal Revolution, maybe Soviet something something something.)) We encourage the Poriltariat of all Nations, to join in the International Brotherhood of the Revolution. Worry not, we shall soon arrive on your boarders, to liberate you too. """ |

Spring, 1906: I had a dream. In that dream I was a great Bear, fighting an Kraken, when a pair of double headed Eagles named Reichsadler and Bundesadler attacked me. In this dream, I fought manfully, though, I was bound to lose. A Sly-devil broke the back of Bundesadler, allowing me to crush and maul the bodies of the Eagle Twins, and with the help of the the Eagle Marianne, finally send the Kraken into the watery depths. As I, in this dream descended up the broken bodies of those who had so savagely attacked me, I was stopped by the Sly-devil to the south, and so my revenge was stolen. For whatever reason, when I woke to the death of the Italian, I felt that I had had my revenge upon the Sly-devil, in my dream. I can't shake the feeling that I must destroy something else, for the next measure of my vengeance. |

Autumn, 1906: Oh my, is that a Dunkirk moment? I can practically feel the English puckering up.
Spring, 1908: It's still spring so I think we take the tyrrhenian sea first. He outnumbers us if we try to to take Tunis now.
Spring, 1908: Support my west Mediterranean into Tyr and then the next turn we can take Tunis.
Spring, 1908: And north Africa attacks Tunis to disrupt support
Spring, 1908: Feel free to take tunis. I have no need for it.
Autumn, 1908: The good thing about this game is even when you're dead you still have the ability to say 'i told you so' ;)
Autumn, 1908: What did u tell who?
Autumn, 1908: **Austria backstabs Italy and falls on its own knife**
Autumn, 1908: :D fair enough Ita!
Spring, 1909: No what i actually meant was when i told the world to watch out for the Russian/Turkish alliance and make sure it didn't win again this time. Alas, France thought i was just making stuff up to help myself win and invaded me instead; Austria thought i had the magical power to make other countries fight each other and was paranoid about all the good moves i suggested, so gave in to Turkey and wouldn't actually advance against him; Germany said he wanted the three central powers to stand together but just sat back and watched as Italy got eaten by France, which gave Turkey every chance he needed to eat Italy. Now all that's happened is Italy has become a province of the Ottoman empire and it's now very difficult for anyone to stand against them. Well done to England for providing the only real wall against Turkish expansion. It's now 17 centres for Turkey and his Russian friend and 17 for the rest of the world. I'm watching this with interest to see who will win. I hope it's Turkey
Spring, 1909: Ah. | |
Spring, 1910: Cheering for Germany here. Sly retreat from France whilst Germany defends Europe from the juggernaut. But holding strong in the East!
Spring, 1911: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1911: Uh oh. Suddenly, it's not Germany who has to decide if he'll take one for the team.
Autumn, 1911: And here I thought the slavic puppet state had collapsed.
Autumn, 1911: Full partners. How else could we survive in a world full of war mongering Imperialists?
Spring, 1912: Germany is rising from the ashes. The Italian government in exile wishes the Kaiser every success
Autumn, 1913: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Autumn, 1913: More of a Cold War than anything else.
Spring, 1915: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Spring, 1915: The puppet state has collapsed.
Spring, 1915: Dissent against the Tsar has left it ripe for the taking
Spring, 1915: So is it possible for another player to take over Russia? Or since it's a private game, will it just stay in civil disorder?
Spring, 1915: No clue. | |
Spring, 1915: Would be an Ottoman puppet in either case!
Autumn, 1915: Did Rus do that or bot Rus?
Autumn, 1915: I only ask cos my rearranged moves (assuming Rus were gone and would just be 'holding') cost me...
Autumn, 1915: Just be good to know what changes happen and when, so we can follow up with what has consistently happened so far :)
Autumn, 1915: Looks like Tien is back. The Tsar has returned
Autumn, 1915: So, Tien got back in, just in time to get his moves in. Otherwise, your moves would have succeeded.
Autumn, 1915: Tien's account has been hacked =P
Autumn, 1915: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
Spring, 1916: The Ottoman ambassador is willing to end this wargame with a vote. Cast your ballots.
Spring, 1916: Awaiting the ballot...
Autumn, 1916: Germany and Russia, you both need to press the 'draw' button if you want a draw
Autumn, 1916: Good game folks. It may have been drawn but thoroughly enthralling!
Autumn, 1916: Russia do you want to draw?
Autumn, 1916: Thanks for introducing me to the site, Carl.
Autumn, 1916: Also I accidentally stole a liberal card.
Autumn, 1916: Russia, you pressed the wrong button. You need to press the 'draw' button :D
Autumn, 1916: In the next 2 days!
GG, all. Hopefully next game Alex doesn't try to three way Russia again.
Let's hope the this peace lasts. I'm sure the Galician corridor won't cause any longstanding friction in this alternative timeline. |
