Autumn, 1907: I guess you're referring to self dislodgement, which isn't possible. But had Ven -> Apu succeeded, then the support for Pie -> Ven would have been totally legal.
Autumn, 1907: I disagree with Russia, but we will see what happens when I try to support Italy into tri this turn
Autumn, 1907: Reading rule 12 on page 23 in these rules, Austria seems to be right. But don’t know the exact algorithm in this websites rules (https://media.wizards.com/2015/downloads/ah/diplomacy_rules.pdf)
Autumn, 1907: And see through diagram 24-26 on pages 13-14 for explanations regarding standoffs. Thus making it a legal move and Russia would now be right :)
Autumn, 1907: Well i have made similar stunts in the past, and to be honest i can't quite remember if it is truly possible to support a dislodging of your own unit, but to support a foreign unit into your own territory to bounce another foreign unit with a support is 100% possible. I have offered the above mentioned bet as a sort of a ruse, but now i am really intrigued about the result. What do you say Austria? we really put our differences past us for a phase and test the algorithm of the page?
Autumn, 1907: Guess you didn’t want to end up in Tri; typical liar. We could’ve had a 3WD with Russia already, but you ruined a good thing
Autumn, 1907: Wait, are you scorning my ambitions (failed ones, if i may add) in a competitive game?
Autumn, 1907: How old are you kids? 12?
Autumn, 1907: I do not understand the use of plural in your question.
Spring, 1908: So, France and Austria. It's looking pretty close to a stalemate at this point. Can we agree on a draw?
Spring, 1908: So, France and Austria. It's looking pretty close to a stalemate at this point. Can we agree on a draw?
Spring, 1908: Once stabber Italy is dead, sure
Autumn, 1908: Well, i am quite young so it might take another 60 years to finish this game. Unless ,of course, 5G wielding corona bats invade... |
|
Spring, 1909: I voted cancel. There’s my compromise
Spring, 1909: That's not a compromise.
Spring, 1909: It’s a compromise; everyone gets their points back
Spring, 1909: Aren't you taking this a little bit too serious ,Austria?
Autumn, 1909: Apr Spring, 1904: You: Glad I prepared for that Sun 26 Apr Autumn, 1904: Italy: Errm what stab? I did everything as we discussed? you are even more paranoid than me... |
|
Autumn, 1909: I guess you stabbing me and lying to me isn’t serious.
Autumn, 1909: ^^ what stab? As he sat in Trieste
Autumn, 1909: Wow! | |
Autumn, 1909: This infuriates you, right? How France stabbed both of his allies? Or do you only protest when you're inconvenienced?
Autumn, 1909: Well i will be dining in Valhalla tonight, but i will take solace in the impeding doom that creeps towards Austria.
Autumn, 1909: When you’re going for the win, you’re going for the win. Props to France
Autumn, 1909: Third stab's the charm..
Autumn, 1909: and I couldn't agree more with Italy. Well deserved win France & Russia. I hope Austria gets none of it.
Autumn, 1909: Lol. I did nothing to you, but cool
Autumn, 1909: I also don’t know how two people can win in one game lol
Autumn, 1909: Because they defeated the remaining 5 players......
Spring, 1910: Still a draw
Autumn, 1910: GG | |
Autumn, 1911: Wow. What a turn
Spring, 1912: Just take my land, France. I'm retreating everything.
Spring, 1912: L O L | |
Spring, 1912: Undeserved win?
Spring, 1912: The only thing deserved is your loss.
Spring, 1912: Bitter much?
Spring, 1912: When I allied with you all game? LOL
Spring, 1912: Man, I should just be a quitter to just vote draw to Italy the stabber because Russia retreats for no reason and does pointless support holds of Sil Spring 1908
Spring, 1912: Austria, you should be careful. All that laughing out loud could make people question your sanity...
Spring, 1912: Okay defeated player
Spring, 1912: Oh god.....there should be an age limit to access webDiplomacy......
So few points they had to refresh yours to 100 LOL
AHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA, you are pure gold, Austria......
case in point why elementary schools should be open during the pandemic.. France, Russia, please finish this off so we dont get the notifications anymore.
It's game over in the winter, france has hit 18, although i was rooting for the 17/17 split...
Austria survives. Scrubs Germany and Italy do not. Woohoo
I’ve never see a less earned win though.
Are you trying to provoke a reaction Austria? I won. You lost. If you are questioning the beauty of my win, I’ll allow myself to question the beauty of your defeat. If only ur semantics was part of an in game strategy, but it is not :-/ |
|
Well considering that French easy win was mainly enabled by Austrian ability to piss off every single person on the map, i would say that the win was rather aesthetic, since it shows how united people can be when they face a common enemy. And regarding your survival, well some things are just not worth killing. France, it was a delightful partnership and i hope we get a chance to play again . And before Austria ignorantly points it out, the stab was good but i still think you should have waited one more year, and i would be a fool if i resented it in any way. |
