23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: Very true!
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: So... vDiplomacy looks like it's exactly the same as webDiplomacy?

Apart from North Africa is in two provinces instead of just one?
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: Vdip is the sister site of webdip, with like a thousand variants. And the only other online dip I know of is conspiracy
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: I made a vDip account but I didn't see any option to run a sandbox map.
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: I’m not sure there is a sandbox option in any of the various sites. I always just use my actual board to test stuff out, or a bot game
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: What's a bot game?
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: Yeah but I'm judging a game between some friends of mine... want to be able to input their moves etc and run them through a sandbox, then send images of maps etc...
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: The moves I saved were not these moves!
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: You can make a bot game on webdip. Its a game where you get to choose which country you are, and the rest of the countries are bots that move automatically.
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1903: That's no good. I need to be able to move ALL the pieces.
26 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1904: Gg yall
28 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
28 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1905: I'm sorry, entering my orders now

14 May 20 UTC Spring, 1908: What is the current feeling on a draw?
18 May 20 UTC Spring, 1909: Quick game starting today, if anyone's at their computers and has time:
'Play With Me, You Scum!' Come join if you can...
18 May 20 UTC Spring, 1909: No-one joined so I made a new one and I'm gonna cry if you don't join, it's called I SAID PLAY WITH ME!
18 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Just a message to Russia:

We now have a common enemy so I would be grateful if you unmuted me as I think we can help eachother
18 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: Also GG world
18 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1909: I am voting for a draw everyone pls feel free to join.

23 May 20 UTC Spring, 1910: Ahhhhhhhhhhhh! Well. This changes things.
23 May 20 UTC Spring, 1910: Hi All! New France here. Please send me a message as I get up to speed from past notes..I assure you I will play fairly (no tanking) :).
27 May 20 UTC Spring, 1911: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
27 May 20 UTC Spring, 1911: new turkey here
28 May 20 UTC Autumn, 1911: Welcome Turkey!
06 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1914: Austria/Turkey - England has lied to me for about the 20th time this past turn. My only purpose the rest of the game is to either ensure they draw, or to eliminate them.

You both have my word, from here on out, no lies, no deception, in any moves. I will also share my moves for transparency.

Last turn:
Austria - I apologise for Venice. You did not confirm back the orders we discussed, and what you did confirm didn't make sense so I assumed the worst (attacking Bulgaria, etc...). It will not happen again as we will need to work up north to prevent a solo from England. I will also move from Venice for you.

Turkey - Similar. You did not confirm back my suggestion so I assumed the worst. I will disband Armenia and support you to Smyrna next turn. Sev and north is yours and once Smyrna is gone I will love my fleet out.

England needs to be eliminated.
06 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1914: Well, that's jolly unkind.
06 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1914: Can I just check I've understood this correctly, France? Your gameplan now is to try to convince Austria and Turkey, both of whom you've just attacked, and both of whom *I've* just defended, that *I'M* untrustworthy and need to be eliminated?

Good luck with that!
06 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1914: England - The difference is your center count and I am hoping self preservation influences others. Also, my public comments on honestly and future moves are for all to see. If I do anything from here on out that is a lie, I would expect a public flogging.
06 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1914: Well if that's the way you're gonna be, I hereby make a public comment of my own:

"I'm gonna kick France's sneaky, backstabbing arse clear across this board, and go for a three-way with Austria and Turkey after they're gone!"

How about that?
06 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1914: Turkey/Austria - France previously promised me a 3 way draw, 2 way draw, has given false orders, and has committed various times to the above all in vain. All lies.

Lets make sure France doesn't get the solo!
06 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1914: Errrrr... I agree?
06 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1914: Funny, clearly meant England :)
07 Jun 20 UTC Spring, 1915: Hi all, I've created a new anonymous game with SoS scoring and 25 entry, it's called 'There Should Be Only One', come join :)
08 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1915: You stick your neck out to protect other countries from French aggression, and what do you get?!

Bunch of ingrates.
09 Jun 20 UTC Autumn, 1915: Austria now protecting Munich...

I guess I should have joined your attack after all, France. My apologies. I should have remembered that a dog will always remain loyal to the master who beats it hardest...
13 Jun 20 UTC interesting game to come in to late

thanks for the most intriguing match ive had in a while

glad to have survived it :)
13 Jun 20 UTC I really enjoyed this game, everyone - thank you! Diplomacy at its finest.

Special congratulations to France. I was very pleased with what I had managed to engineer, but it was eclipsed by your efforts. Whatever you managed to say to Austria and Turkey to make them attack ME right after you'd attacked them must have been a masterstroke of persuasive diplomacy. Left me in the dust!

GG everyone, see on the field next time.
16 Jun 20 UTC It was exciting. I admit. But also props to Austria for laying the essential part in the anti-England alliance.
16 Jun 20 UTC This message confuses me, since it is written in Austrian orange...?
16 Jun 20 UTC Of Course. I am giving myself some section of the credit.
16 Jun 20 UTC Ah. So, spill the beans, then? The anti-England alliance was your creation? But why??
16 Jun 20 UTC I was concerned that you and France were going to team up and take me out of the draw. So I created problems and used those problems to insure that I survived.
17 Jun 20 UTC England - I still do not understand why you moved when you did, versus eliminating Turkey first. Especially when there was not a clear path to 18. We had a legitimate shot at a 17/17 draw, and a sound plan laid out. You just needed to stick to it.
17 Jun 20 UTC Correct. I knew that I needed to put a stop to the dual draw.
17 Jun 20 UTC 'I was concerned that you and France were going to team up and take me out of the draw. So I created problems and used those problems to insure that I survived.'

Well good, Austria - that's exactly what I wanted you to think! My gameplan was engineering France to stab Austria and Turkey at a specific moment, thinking that I was going to join the stab and go for the two-way-draw, but in fact whilst I convinced France to go for it, I spoke to Austria and Turkey warning them of French treachery. The idea was that after France attacked and Austria and Turkey saw that I had helpfully warned them ahead of time and thrown up some defences around them, we could lead a counterattack on France, but I'd be big enough to then go for a solo along the way.

What flabbergasted me was France's success in convincing you both (Austria and Turkey) to attack me immediately after he had attacked both of you. Still can't really get my head around how he managed that...
