10 Nov 19 UTC Spring, 1901: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.

10 Nov 19 UTC Blech, these quick games need people who show up on time and who don't quit when things go sideways.
10 Nov 19 UTC I can't for the life of me figure out why Germany never attacked France. He was ripe for the picking...
10 Nov 19 UTC Is that common here? That was my first online game. Shame
10 Nov 19 UTC Italy, I could tell I was dealing with a pro player when you trapped my bounce and got Spain.
10 Nov 19 UTC @Austria - I didn't mean the Trieste thing as a stab, necessarily. I had thought my Rome build showed I just was poking to make sure we stayed even, and it was mostly in response to your move to Ionian. Things got very aggressive though...
10 Nov 19 UTC @England, yes, yes it is. It's rare to play one of these quick games where every plays from beginning to end.
10 Nov 19 UTC Haha. Unfortunately I started getting tired and let myself lose Venice. The coordination between you and Germany was something else.

You outguessed me on the west a bit at the end there. If Austria hadn't build a second fleet, I could have dedicated more west.

@England - why oh why didn't you ever take my support into Brest?
10 Nov 19 UTC Also, England, if I were you, I don't know if I would have drawn. You had everything going for you when Germany left.
10 Nov 19 UTC @Turkey - disbanding your fleet was your biggest mistake. Guaranteed you never leave Anatolia again.
10 Nov 19 UTC Well, the taking of Venice was chance, believe me. I think Germany knew that I couldn't really help him with anything, but that he could help me take Venice. I wonder if he wanted at least *one* ally in this game, but I agree--he should have taken Paris very quickly.
10 Nov 19 UTC @Italy, I suppose I was too concerned with Germany to look to take care of France, he was too occupied with you to be an immediate threat to me I suppose. I am a fairly new player.

It was unfair when Germany left, it destroys the integrity of the game at that point, so a draw seemed right to me.
10 Nov 19 UTC @France - I wish I had moved Tyr to GoL in 1902. I entered the orders as I did because, if I took Spain, I would get a build to use to make sure Austria's fleets didn't waltz into Ionian, and if I didn't, I'd have a fleet in Tyr to defend.

@Austria - WHY OH WHY did you build that fleet and then move it in the most aggresive way possible... I really thought we were on the same page.
10 Nov 19 UTC I’ve played a total of less than 10 games I just got the board game last month :)
10 Nov 19 UTC Germany had a willing and eager ally in Russia, until he decided to take Sweden. I think it's a mistake in that situation to not have blitzed France in 1902 or 1903.

I almost pulled my draw vote. I was thinking we could narrow it down more, and I believe the board state in my fight with France was very good for me now that Austria was out of the way. But, Russia may have been too big a threat.
10 Nov 19 UTC Good playing with you all though.

England, France, Russia, Austria - you all are names I'll keep in mind for future games :)
10 Nov 19 UTC Good game, take care mates.
10 Nov 19 UTC When I was attacked by Italy, everyone should have immediately carved me up. That's the way it goes in this game. Once you see a weakness in a neighbor and can take at least one SC easily, you do it. England, you could have split this whole board with Italy, to be honest. He was probably going to turn on Austria anyways. With Brest, you also get a landing zone for armies onto the continent.
10 Nov 19 UTC Good game though!
