03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Sounds good. The Italian may have other ideas though, as he can provide double support, and maybe the Sultan wants it for his Mediterranean liberating 3rd fleet. What about rounding through to PIE, then having two on VEN?
03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Listen, the thing that threatens me most in this alliance is an overly powerful Germany. He already has both low countries and is now demanding Trieste. I don’t have enough armies to defend my home front. If I am to feel safe I’d like another SC this year, specifically London. Big Bear Russia you’re doing a fantastic job of mediating here. What do you think?
03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I won't let you have London. That should be mine. And now the good news: I have no intention to fight with you. I am a bit worried about a too strong juggernaut.
03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Army London-> Wales
Let’s see what happens
03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Now Germany wises up to the Jugg
03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I’ll give double support to tyrolia to Trieste
03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Dear Kaiser, no problems with a juggernaut in this one. Let's stay the course with the Triumvirate Cousins! Dear French cousin, you try LON, and support yourself into PIC. If our cousin Wilhelm deviates from our game long plan now, then you and I can remain strong. Blood is thick, cousin!
03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Glad to hear the noble house of Romanov stands behind the republic, despite the less than productive suggestions of our dear cousin Wilhelm!
03 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Your sailors shall spend a comfortable winter in Scottish hospitality!
04 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: Dear Sultan, You will have double support into TRI from ALB. The only way they can stop it is if ADR does not support ION. So you will either be in TRI, or in ION. Cheers!
04 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: France and Germany. Can you come up with a stable boarder so we can crush this juggernaut? At this rate Russia will solo in no time.
04 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: I, Tsar Nicholas II, will not attempt a solo. This is headed to a comprehensive three-way draw with coordinated play. France and Russia have a natural boundary through the middle of Germany/North Sea, and so the middle countries, Germany, Italy and Austria can be swallowed whole.
04 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: The German Kaiser is furious about the ambush of his cousins. He invites his enemies to Berlin in a peaceful way. Himself won´t be present. He is in Africa to seek for Germans place at the sun.
04 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: Please cite earlier remarks expressing the French national sentiment that they didn’t care who won as long as Germany was bulldozed, paved and turned into a parking lot. Elan!
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Dear brother Russia. Your new shiny fleet in Petrograd is a glorious symbol of Slavic supremacy. However new shiny fleets like to be put to work and the question must be asked where this fleet intends to sail? In fact it looks like you’ve snubbed our Ottoman compatriot as well, casting a shadow over your ostensibly noble intentions. Now before Italy goes around saying “I told you so” I’ll admit that I made nice words to Russia to get myself ahead. But perhaps the remaining nations out there might like to take a serious look as this board and ask themselves if the world they want to live in is one of communist oppression. Russians in turn may ask themselves, do you really want to risk taking us all on at this point?
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Dear French cousin, millions of sea-aspiring peasants trained long and hard for those frigid seas, and I couldn't for the life of me deny a few of them their turn in the midnight sun. My Ottoman Sultan companion can now rely on double support into TRI as promised, as I couldn't do so before because in his infinite glorious wisdom he had not said a word in this game since 1901. He can trust that SEV will not move - those soldiers like the women there too much to care to leave, so they will remain in place for the rest of this game simply in support of the sailors happily moored in gypsy-woman ruled Rumania. As for everybody else, my aim was expressed earlier - a 3 way draw between France, Turkey and Russia. Let's all move together towards that. TRI will give Turkey the 3rd fleet he needs to break into ION, and if you move into MED with force, then Italy will crumble fast, and that will be it. Plus, us Romanovs do not believe in communism - that is a dubious idea that may germinate later among my millions of peasants, but so far is simply perhaps just a bad idea in a glorious social dissertation by that German philosopher Marx. In a long answer to your kind and patient question, those peasant sailors were hand-picked to go and enjoy the hospitality of the Norwegians. That will be it for them - a lovely sail, and then hot tubs with those lovely lasses up there. I do not intend to take you all on - no need, when a nice 3-way is right there with no further pain and suffering. Do you all agree?
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: You certainly paint a promising picture commissar, not unlike that of Mr Marx and Mr Engels. If you are true to your word then I expect you'll have no qualms halting your advance where you are and supporting the growth of your declared allies, and won't take offence if my mediterranean sailors redeploy to northern waters. I feel like heir Kaiser has checked out mentally and gone into an institution, but if he's still with us in some capacity please know that I intend to support Munich. Austria I hope will continue to hold. Turkey, quiet and contemplative as you are, contemplate a truce with Italy and deployment of your fleets to the black sea and Constantinople. Again, Tsar Nicholas, I hope you'll understand that these are merely prudent precautions. If the mad monk isn't pulling the strings and you halt your advance, we may be able to come to a compromise yet
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: I seem to have found my pen, and am disappointed in my ally for not helping me into Trieste.
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: None of what you say dear brother sounds unfair or unjust to me, though I am not sure why that shiny new northern fleet has spooked you so (I simply had 3 builds, and it possibly would have looked worse if I (1) had put that boat in SEV, or (2) had withheld a build! I still think and agree the three of us could proceed as you say without any aggression towards each other, and that will simply extend the lives of Italy, Austria and Germany, and in the end, they may all deserve to share in our well-deserved spoils. If you and the great Sultan agree to that unsavoury outcome, then why not just end it now, and the valiant Austrians and Italians can rejoice alongside the Germans? If not, us three will be better off if you support yourself into RUH for "safety" (or take HOL), and simply move that southern fleet to GOL then TYN to catalyse the quick end I propose? It can be ably supported by GAS-MAR-PIE...
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Ahh! Dear Sultan, please understand what I said above, and accept my humble offer of support into TRI once our French ally moves in force into the MED? That outcome should please you, as you and him can simply agree the TUN dilemma?...
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: That offer of TRI is this FALL BTW with suitable moves by our French ally...
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: France. Your fleet in Marseilles can be used as leverage to block the Turkish advance in to the Mediterranean and give them no choice but to work with us against our great Russian foe who only needs to clean up the scraps of the fallen German and Austrian lands to gain complete control of the continent.
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: True, though if Russian fleets swarm the north seas there won't be anything to hold back the tide. I think we have to count on Turkey's good judgement (and Russia's too)
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Even if I could "swarm the north seas" why would I need to do it? The ratio of our units in proximity is small, and it can stay that way for the two or three game years to mop up the middle of the board.
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Aw don't drop the roleplaying now great Tsar, we were having so much fun!
05 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Anyway you have nothing to worry about. If you halt your advance this turn I'm with you
06 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Ok
06 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Sultan, you waking up yet?
06 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Too late now I’d say
06 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: I trust the Tsar.
06 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Good for you. Trust is a beautiful thing
06 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: And besides, at this point is there actually any way to stop the Tsar?
06 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Not anymore, but maybe a turn ago
06 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Any maybe if Germany was still playing
06 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: I will not attempt a solo. Austria and Germany dead this turn, and we can draw.
07 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: wanna let me have holland then?
07 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: And let me have trieste?
08 Oct 19 UTC Spring, 1906: Don’t give up
09 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: Turkey you gotta use your fleet in emed
09 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: He did. Italy got greedy...
09 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: I’m just going for triest
09 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: The fat bear is calling my modest Mediterranean territory greedy.
09 Oct 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: Ya moving to Syria would’ve been a lot smarter
11 Oct 19 UTC Ok! DRAW vote in. Cheers! Good game.
11 Oct 19 UTC I can see France is the one that wants to keep playing, so if that remains same, can we unite against him? Can Italy consider VEN-PIE and ION-TUN? I will not come any further into Austria...
11 Oct 19 UTC Dang Russia, I’m pleasantly surprised. I’m sure you would’ve got the solo if you pushed for it longer
11 Oct 19 UTC Btw Italy my last build was meant to be Brest
11 Oct 19 UTC Sorry you didn’t get any points Italy. You deserved some. Good game guys
11 Oct 19 UTC I said DRAW was going to be the end, dear French ami!! It was never going to be fair for me to go for it, when Germany did what they did. Cheers to everyone!!
11 Oct 19 UTC That would have been an easy solo for Russia. Perhaps I was wrong to say he was so glutinous. May we have peace in our time and prosperity forever!
