11 Nov 19 UTC I am shocked I clawed back from that terrible start! GG all
11 Nov 19 UTC Turkey, fall of 1917 I built fleet Rome, NOT Naples, this is screaming to you => move to Ionian Sea immediately, yet you ordered Greece to do a worthless support hold order of Bulgaria. At that very instant, it was game over, done, because it was obvious that Scan and Stp would eventually fall and they did. Once Tunis was lost, there was no chance to recover.
11 Nov 19 UTC Well recovered and won, France. But, yeah, Turkey's unwillingness to help set the line against is what made for that win. Turkey, reason I attacked Russia as my front against France collapsed was to help you get past Russia to set the line. And, instead you kind of just dithered, and then even attacked me.

Also, I was somewhat taken by surprise at France's recovery. I felt I was just starting to get an edge in my real back-and-forth fight with England and Russia, when he totally won back in the south. Italy, was your move from Gascony to Burgundy in Spring 1907 a mistake? Until that point, I thought there was still a good chance of you knocking France out entirely.
11 Nov 19 UTC well, I made a couple of minor mistakes in my war against France, not sure looking back why I went there, but I also expected some, any help, and I got none.
11 Nov 19 UTC Yeah, I wasn't blaming. I had some misorders as well. Just wondering.

I think the reason you never got any help was that Britain and I were so evenly matched. I kept hoping I'd scrounge a spare unit to steal Paris or Brest, but every time one came free, I'd have to send it east to keep Russia from consolidating.
11 Nov 19 UTC I was glad I could jump into this game. It was fascinating to see the back and forth between the previous Russia player and the Germany player, which is why I just backed away from it and hoped to become an asset for preventing a French solo, however, my position ended up not allowing for that. Well played france
11 Nov 19 UTC Yes well played france. Took over Turkey in 1911 with only 1 home centre so missed the early bits...

Italy: after your moves of 14-16 I thought you would perceive Aeg to Ion as hostile in 17 rather than as a supportive anti-French move.

Germany: not sure I could have done that much more to set the line quicker. my battle with Russia extends to late 18. before then hard to see how moving to support a line would not just result in Russia taking advantage. Your complaint about the Spring 19 Moscow move is fair enough: not a good move (desperation?)

Anyway good game - thanks everyone.
