06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Anything else would lead to a loss for anyone involved
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I will only draw with my allies
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: France and Turkey
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: There's just no way I'd get London Liverpool Edi and Holland and Kiel before France
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I just won't draw if Germany and England are left alive
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I will only draw when Turkey and France each reach 11 and I have 12
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I was interested in what you were saying Germany until you started to talk about drawing. You've said all that needs to be said, please quiet down now and let the game play out whichever way it does
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: No, see, here's the thing russia. I can make sure that you are the only one who *can* get those provinces. Which means that if I die, that means you *will* have those provinces. And don't act as if you can be trusted to just not go for the solo if you have the chance. All that your principled stance against drawing with people who aren't your allies makes me think is that you're looking for an excuse to avoid drawing until a solo is in reach.
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: All I'm saying is I want to win with my allies
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Italy is right, it sounds to me like you just want to get a win by getting everyone to draw
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: It's an impossibility that I get Edi, London, and Holland before France, even if I wanted to.
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Either your draw strategy gets everyone to draw and you win, or you end up fooling everyone and making my allies turn on me in which case you could still win.
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: also why would you "make sure I am the only one who can get those centers" just play the game normally and let everything play out
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I don't have a principled stance, I just don't see why I would draw with anyone but my allies, give me a fair good reason to
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Do you really want a 6-way draw?
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Because I don't
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I'm sorry, was the fact that I was looking to win not explicit? I am "playing the game normally", because Diplomacy is all about using diplomacy and tactics to ensure that you come out on top, or as close to that as possible. The only thing that's unusual about what I'm doing is that I'm making a public statement, rather than being secretive. I'm not tricking anyone, I'm making what more or less amounts to an ultimatum. I am ensuring that it is in no-ones best interest for me to lose.
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I am just playing the game how it's meant to be played
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I agree with germany. I dont think he is doing anything wrong.
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: that's fine, I don't think you're doing anything wrong, I'm just also looking out for my own interests
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: Even if you give me all of your lands, I'm not going to take them and turn on my allies
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I realize you are setting it up to where it is easier for me to take your land and it'll make me look even more threatening, but that won't work
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I will not extend beyond my agreements or betray my allies
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I have been very clear with France and Turkey on my intentions, I will not exceed 12 supply centers
06 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1904: I agree with Germany, it's just repetitive and annoying. The point has been made
10 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
11 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
11 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1905: Well now it's a 5-way draw, and russia's stronger than ever. We only have a few turns left to draw, or else.
11 Aug 19 UTC Spring, 1905: You are correct, Russia is at her max strength, and if everyone was stupid enough to be fooled into drawing it would, in fact, be a 5-way draw
13 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1905: it's over germany, I have the high ground...
14 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: So are we letting this round pass and going for a draw?
14 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: I, for one, would be all for a draw
14 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: I wonder why the guy with 1 supply center wants a draw?
14 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: Oh, well I’m doing my best to take care of that.
14 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
16 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: italy im offended you're coming after me
16 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: i’m sorry you feel that way
16 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: Don’t worry, I’ll save you France.
16 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: haha
16 Aug 19 UTC Autumn, 1907: i will hide in north africa and plan my comeback
17 Aug 19 UTC So, what’s the plan, gents?
17 Aug 19 UTC just vote to draw right?
17 Aug 19 UTC well done, let us share a victory unmarred by infighting
17 Aug 19 UTC If we fought everything would just stalemate, let us all draw
17 Aug 19 UTC France?
18 Aug 19 UTC GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
18 Aug 19 UTC Well, good game. I expected at least one of you two to try and solo.
18 Aug 19 UTC I thought about it at the point where Serbia was open and I can always get Kiel if I wanted, that would’ve meant I got 2 builds then can build a fleet at St. P NC and Sevastopol
18 Aug 19 UTC I was thinking this in Autumn 1906
18 Aug 19 UTC But decided against it
