Or playing the with people they know outside the game (friends, family etc) in a public game. Both of these are against the rules of web diplomacy. |

This is typically done to build a reputation, as for honesty. A Meta player will be prepared to sacrifice a position or build in one game, because he believes that this will benefit him in many future games. This is perfectly legal. I had to have it explained to me because people were accusing me of Metagaming, in this context; which is true. |

Luckily, Argentina shipped over some fine Chilean wine and both sides got so plastered that they forgot what they were fighting about. We woke up from our drunken stupors to find a signed treaty stating that neither of us deserves this sea zone and it instead has been earmarked as Argentinian territory. |
