Autumn, 1909: Bye bye, cruel world...
Spring, 1910: My press has been terrible. I do apologize and will try to keep up and respond to everyone.
Spring, 1910: @ Russia: GG!
Autumn, 1910: For sure. You have enough on your hands with getting the nursery ready and baby-proofing the house. I think you have a good possibility of overrunning England, with all other things being neutral. He's doing a better job of listening to suggestions, though, which would make that trickier (though he didn't take the ideal route this season). If this weren't just a qualifying round, I wouldn't think of suggesting it, but you're going to have to turn on Italy at some point or face some destroys. You're really at the limit of builds otherwise, for the time being, unless England just really botches things, and you'll lose Berlin, at least. Again, my terms are simple. I also want 14 centers. I really don't care how I get them. If we don't reach an agreement soon, though, I'll offer Warsaw to England to give him another build, and then life will get more difficult for both you and me. |
|
Autumn, 1910: All: Even though Russia tossed me an "F*ck you" before clicking the ignore command, I would like to offer him an olive branch. I'm not even upset about his wildly successful campaign to throw the game to France. Could someone please tell him that I stand ready to help him brainstorm on strategies for his build/destroy decisions this season? |
|
Autumn, 1910: Oof, now that was cruel ;')
Autumn, 1910: Yes, and I didn't realize my earlier message to you went into Global!! I'm such a goof when I'm on my phone ... Anyway, the suggestion still stands. Let's get rid of Italy and figure out a draw. |
|
Spring, 1911: TBH, I prefer a draw now with Italy. I'll put my vote in before the end of phase. England?
Autumn, 1911: Why can't we just wait until the end of the season when italy will be dead? (Sorry Italy) |
|
Autumn, 1911: As I have told both France and Turkey, I have no problem with being cut out of the draw. However, do you truly believe Turkey will stop at that? France does not have nearly enough units to stop Turkey's advance in the Mediterranean on his own, and you will lose St. Petersburg unless you pull back immediately. The two of you need to reconcile right now unless you want to risk a Turkish solo.
Autumn, 1911: I actually agree with this. France has been suggesting a draw for years, but continued to push for more territory while other countries "throw" him the win. I am vacating Moscow, as promised to England (why lie about it?), but one more center (a total of 13) and I'm happy to vote for the draw. Originally, Moscow was my 13th, but France needs to pay his pound of flesh, hopefully not losing a center in the Iberian.
Autumn, 1911: Hey, my vote's in right now. No need to exact a pound of flesh - I've already relearned the lesson of Napoleon in Russia.
Autumn, 1911: Let's finish off Italy. Tap Apulia and take Rome. I have no need for more centers, as I'm ready to end the game and focus on the RL stuff that's kept me from being as chatty as usual.
Autumn, 1911: Moderator: (Durga): Player contacted, sorry for the delay
Autumn, 1911: Out of curiosity, is there a time limit on how long a player can ride on the one excused NMR?
Autumn, 1911: For the record, it's not me.
Autumn, 1911: Not I. | |
Autumn, 1911: It's me, sorry all.
Autumn, 1911: Apologies. I've been working non stop and when I finally had a day off I evidently slept for about 17 hours straight. Won't happen again.
Autumn, 1911: France, I'm confused. I really thought this would be the last season. I moved out of Moscow to allow England to keep that center and thought you would tap Apulia to allow me into Venice, finishing Italy off so we can share the draw. Your intent is that the game continues?
Autumn, 1912: @ Italy: GG!
Autumn, 1912: my draw vote is in, let's get this over with.
Autumn, 1912: Done. I am a little bit wary of whether or not France will, though I continue to offer him the olive leaf of a draw.
Autumn, 1912: My draw vote has been in since 1911.
Autumn, 1912: Don't you have to renew it? I think it cancels out after a couple of seasons.
Autumn, 1912: It doesn't. Once you click it it stays up until the player decides he wants it to go down or the game draws.
Autumn, 1912: Then are we waiting on Italy?
Autumn, 1912: It's certainly possible.
Autumn, 1912: I clicked mine a few seasons ago when England insisted on eliminating Englad first. I never unlocked because I thought it expired like ... maybe ... another site does ...
Autumn, 1912: ... eliminating Italy first . . For the record, I agreed with him. |
|
Autumn, 1912: I clicked draw a long time ago as well, so someone here is lying.
Autumn, 1912: Russia? | |
Autumn, 1912: Is it possible to draw concludes at the end of a season? Like, in other words, it waits the season out to make sure that everybody is confident in their choice or something?
Autumn, 1912: No, it just draws immediately when everyone votes for one.
Autumn, 1912: Oh, then I agree with Italy.
Autumn, 1912: As do I. | |
Autumn, 1912: Something like that would be pretty underhanded ... I've got it narrowed down to three people. |
|
Autumn, 1912: The suspense is real
Spring, 1913: Wow, quick season! Are you two up to speeding this up since the diplomatic part has been minimized by my misguided solo run?
Spring, 1913: I take that as a no.
Spring, 1913: Anyone know if Russia is still monitoring this game?
Spring, 1913: Worthy competitors, Thank you for the game. This last season was the toughest. I only succeeded because I knew how capable France and Italy were and I planned against the cleverest moves I could imagine. Austria: were it not for our geography, I would have aligned with you over the pissant Russia. You had the personality that, I've found, always accompanies clever and engaging play. Italy: You had no choice but to side with France. I didn't make a mistake in stabbing you, and I knew it at the time, but I admire your tenacity. Germany: You were a candle in the wind, but considering your irrational neighbor to the East, you were playing the best you could. I've no doubt you would have been the country to fear had Russia been controlled by a not-lunatic. England: You had some real class. I took advantage of you, but you handled it like a champ. I owe you the game. Your stab on France was the correct move and turned my game around. Later slips might have cost it for you, but I'm glad we aligned as long as we did. France: Had you not been so busy, I would have gotten slaughtered. You're also hilarious and capable of building trust in people who shouldn't trust you. Amazing. Russia (someone please forward this): When you graduate from middle school, if you continue playing the game, remember that being a decent person in this game amounts to so much more than tactics. You were right, though - I have timing and can read a map. It was a pleasure to stab you and watch the purple get painted over by the true competitors. |

Moderator: (peterwiggin): Hello Everyone, The moderator team has taken over running the tournament with the help of captainmeme due to the TD and selected co-td not having the time or necessary access to keep up with the games. From here on out, please direct all requests and needs to webdipmod@gmail.com. We have also turned on WFO mode in all the games. Please make sure not to trigger it: delaying a game more than 3 times will result in being replaced in the tournament. We'll have the 2nd set of games in this round up and running shortly. Best of luck in the tournament! The WebDip Mods |
