06 Feb 19 UTC Spring, 1901: One, Two, Testing. I say, does this bloody thing work?
06 Feb 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello, Europe, and welcome to SSC New Game!
A note on using WebDiplomacy: You can enter orders and Save them any time; this prevents running out of time and having the turn advance without taking any actions. To keep the game moving along, after saving orders click Ready if you do not plan further changes. When all powers are Ready, the turn will advance even if the 2-day timer has not run out. Of course, there is no need to rush, and two days affords plenty of opportunity to correspond and scheme with other powers, the main draw of the game. You don't have to be a master strategist if you can get other nations to do your bidding!
07 Feb 19 UTC Spring, 1901: Hello Everyone,

As some of you know, this game was organized on an outside forum and I didn't know you had to password protect the game to limit entry. Some of the declared participants were not able to join and I have created a second, password protected game. We could keep this game open in parallel, if everyone is interested, or we'll just shut it down and migrate to the other game. Can I get a show of hands to see who's interested in continuing here as a parallel game? I will take no-answer to be a negative answer.
07 Feb 19 UTC Spring, 1901: I vote to continue here in parallel.
07 Feb 19 UTC Spring, 1901: If others are enthusiastic about continuing, I am happy to do so. My main concern is that the splitting of attention would lead to neither game getting the focus it deserves.
08 Feb 19 UTC Autumn, 1901: So I reckon the two non SSC players dropped out. I will concentrate on the other game.

11 Feb 19 UTC Autumn, 1901: New Italy here. I see many messages so I wil read through them and get back to you each. Sooooo who wants to be friends?
06 Mar 19 UTC Autumn, 1904: I met a traveller from an antique land,
Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert. . . . Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed;
And on the pedestal, these words appear:
My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.
20 Mar 19 UTC It's been a pleasure. Shall we?
21 Mar 19 UTC Done. Thanks for the game!
21 Mar 19 UTC Good game.
21 Mar 19 UTC Well played!
