Spring, 1901: Appreciate it is late in the phase - but good luck everyone!
Spring, 1901: Has anyone heard from Italy at all? If they (or anyone I suppose) NMR do we continue until we get a joiner, or pause until we get a joiner? |
|
Spring, 1901: I have not heard from Italy. I would rather pause.
Spring, 1901: I'm willing to support a pause as well. Pause vote in - but suspect it will need to be raised with the mods given how close we are to the end of the phase length.
Autumn, 1901: Just voted to pause, didn’t see it before the end of the phase
Autumn, 1901: I’m voting to pause, but I’m not sure it will do anything anyway cuz everyone has to pause.
Autumn, 1901: My vote's with Pause
Autumn, 1901: I've sent an email to the site mods asking for a pause, let's see if that materializes
Autumn, 1901: Moderator: (Claesar): Game paused to prevent an NMR. I'll email Italy to see whether they intend to enter orders, though that seems a formality here.
Autumn, 1901: Moderator: (Claesar): Actually, I take that back. I think Italy will return.
Autumn, 1901: Moderator: (Claesar): Unless they don't do so within a few hours.. I've emailed them a day ago.
Autumn, 1901: sorry all i was travelling and missed the start but back and ready to play now
Autumn, 1901: Moderator: (Claesar): Ah, forgot to remove you, but all is well I guess :-) Game unpaused.
Autumn, 1903: We paused for Italy not being present, do we pause for France departing us?
Autumn, 1903: Frances replacement is here and pondering on how to rebuild
Autumn, 1903: Glad to see the Third Republic living up to it's name welcome |
|
Spring, 1906: Thanks to replacement France - appreciate you picked up a position that was already in a mess.
Spring, 1906: Yea, doing God's work France2
Spring, 1906: As to everyone else, England is obviously going for a solo, and is well on his way there. I'm going to do whatever I can to stop him, but I'd appreciate and may need any help/cooperation you all are willing to give in furtherance of not losing the game yourselves.
Spring, 1906: I’m not normally one for public chat arguments, but I would note it is a long way to 18 from 12, and our German/Italian friends are actually well matched to take me on in terms of size at 13 combined (and of course still occupying natural Austrian, Russian and Turkish centres)...
Spring, 1906: I'm sure Germany would appreciate any help. Just as I would've when I asked him for help and got an attack in response.
Spring, 1906: Not an unfair point comrade, though disappointing. Italy and I may be well sized to oppose you but we are poorly positioned. You may have a ways yet to go, but whether you eat my SCs fast or slow, when you've finished your meal you will be in a position almost unassailable. |
|
Autumn, 1906: i propose a 5 way draw after austria is eliminated - england will try to get russia and turk to stab but if they do germany and i will let england win rather than be eliminated and allow a 3 way draw - so really up to rationality of turk and russia
Autumn, 1906: I'm pretty confident our Russian and Turkish friends can think and make decisions for themselves - so I'm not going to try to lecture them on what is or is not rational ;) But for the record, I'm on 12 at the moment, one of you is in Belgium and you are attacking St Petes. Threats to throw a solo to me are not particularly credible at this point. |
|
Autumn, 1906: Poor Austria, always the bridesmaid, never the bride
Autumn, 1906: England already has St. P and Tunis, along with all of France in their possession. Without help he will take all or nearly all of my SCs. Either we work together to stop him now or he solos. We need to get St. P and Tunis back into continental hands ASAP. |
|
Autumn, 1906: Or we won't be able to reach/hold a Stalemate line with England.
Autumn, 1906: To state the obvious, the reason I have no hope of holding a stalemate line will be insufficient armies to hold in the middle. Holding the corners isn’t enough on its own!
Autumn, 1906: especially when Germany can build fleets
Spring, 1907: Et tu Russia ;)
Spring, 1907: Sorry to see you go Austria - red blocks are a hard draw
Brilliant Germany! | |
Happy to have eked out a Survive! Wish we could've managed a draw but no one was willing to unit against England while it was still helpful to me or likely to prevent the solo. Congrats to England! |

Well played eng I thought Germany and I would hold you at one point but too hard to coordinate 4 countries to get a defense |
|
GGv | |
Yep - good game all. This was a high quality, high press game and you have my complete respect for the continent wide defence that I also thought for a while looked like it was going to hold me.
