11 Sep 18 UTC Heh, had to try :)
11 Sep 18 UTC Even though the attempt was flimsy.
11 Sep 18 UTC gg all!
11 Sep 18 UTC Thanks for drawing. You never could win this. Thanks for Germany and Italy for preventing that. And finally I can go sleeping. I thought it wouldn´t take so much time.
11 Sep 18 UTC LOL! It was a pretty good stab, and the main reason it didn't work is because France and Germany didn't waste anytime trying to punish me. Good game all!

11 Sep 18 UTC 3 hours for a live game, seems about right.
11 Sep 18 UTC Actually, I think I would still have had a decent shot if original Russia stuck around. He was keeping 3 German units occupied, which was key. When cspieker took over and suicided, my window was gone as your mutual defence was too strong.
11 Sep 18 UTC Sorry man!
Wasn't trying to suicide, just get some more options. But boy, Germany jumped on that quickly!
11 Sep 18 UTC :)
11 Sep 18 UTC Claesar, was our little dance in Ion/Aeg in 1905-1907 you testing the waters for a stab, or were we both just being nervous nellies?
11 Sep 18 UTC Mostly the latter, but.. I was also reluctant to move away from Aegean because it would make it harder to stab you should a solo chance arise. When I finally retreated, I was very happy you were nervous enough to cover Ionian the first two times. It gave me a valid excuse to move back again. Had you not gone to Ionian, I would've been forced to stay in Smyrna. Dancing was very convenient for me :)
11 Sep 18 UTC cspieker, I get that but it didn't suit my agenda ;)
12 Sep 18 UTC My teacher took my phone right as the phase was about to change
12 Sep 18 UTC just at the wrong time
12 Sep 18 UTC Ah, yes, that was a crucial moment for you. Rumania could've supported Serbia until Russia retaliated.

Personally though I'm not a big fan of any Austrian opener that doesn't involve Trieste-Albania, supported into Greece in Autumn. If you don't take Greece, you're inviting armies onto your doorstep. Of course it leaves the home centres a bit vulnerable at the start, but I'd rather have a chance at a good start then a guaranteed mediocrity.
