03 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1999: That's good advice. I'll remember that for next time.

I look forward to the next Modern Madness.
03 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1999: It will be... MADDENING!
04 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 1999: @Germany, I’d recommend falling back a bit to regroup. Slovakia to Austria. We’ll deal with the retreat afterwards.
04 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: I realized I never really picked a side in the France/Germany vs Poland/Ukraine debate.

My side is that of the 5-way draw. I don't particularly want to get involved with a massive war if possible. But I will retaliate if provoked...

On that note, are we about to have problems, Ukraine? The fleets in the Black Sea are more than a tad threatening.
04 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: Egypt, sorry about the two fleets, I have no plan to fight you, just needed to move that army into Rostov. I'll move it out this turn.
04 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: (also wasn't sure where we stood so I didn't want to get caught flatfooted if you decided to rush me from the east)
04 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: Understandable. I thought that might be the case which is why I wanted to clear up my position.
05 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: THE FRENCH STAB! HOW CAN GERMANY RECOVER?!

FIND OUT NEXT TIME ON DIPLOMACYBALL Z!
05 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: This is definitely my final form
05 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: @Germany, sorry. I needed to protect myself from Ukraine.

@Egypt, I don't think I ever agreed with you, but Gibralter is all yours.
05 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: @Ukraine, I propose peace by holding our current borders. Let's clean up and go for the 4-5 way draw.
05 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: Thanks France. Its why I just attacked Andalucia to support rather than gun for it straight away.
05 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: France, as long as you don't move any more units to border Austria I am fine with this. When you say "let's clean up" what do you mean--stop all hostilities, or "clean up" the rest of the German territories?
05 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: @Ukraine, I meant cleaning up Spain, then stopping hostilities and draw. I understand though that in the year it will take Egypt and I to finish off Spain, you and Poland may have made enough progress with Germany that you won’t want to draw with 5. So I left that open ended.
05 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1999: I'll defer to Poland as to whether or not we try to go for the 4-way draw, but I fear that if we do that, it'll prolong the game and probably lead to a solo win by someone that isn't me :)
06 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: I don't think Germany has to be eliminated completely but I'd like to have some more points or grab two or three centers in other words
06 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: Ok, let’s discuss again after Spain is defeated.
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: Hey Ukraine, whats with Caucasus?
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: Hey Egypt, what's with Kazakhstan? :)

I moved to Caucasus in case you moved your army from Iran to Aze. If you move your army back south to Iran, I'll move out of Caucasus.

I trust you, Egypt, and I don't want to fight you. But the Kazakhstan move has me scratching my head, especially since we've been working together so well.
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: Kazakhstan is going to Siberia. Always planned on going north past you, but going right next to you would be too threatening. It's not for you, don't worry!
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: @Egypt, Any way you'd let me survive in Morocco?
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: So @Egypt, are you going after me then?

@Ukraine Odessa to Podolia, why?
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: Well one army anyway, Poland. I doubt I'll actually accomplish anything, but aside from finishing Spain, I want something to do... even if it's being a pest.

Oh and Spain, sorry but no dice. I still remember your call to Italy about taking me down.
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: @Egypt, I'm happy with just to things. Me being in the winner team and me having more points than the original bet. I will already lose points when you two conquer Spain so I would really appreciate it if you didn't cause me any unnecessary additional harm
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: Okayyyy fiiiiinnnneee. I still want to conquer Siberia though.
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: Poland, don't worry. Odessa to Podolia was insurance in case you didn't backfill Krakow and Germany retreated there from Cze when I took it. I'll move out of Podolia. Btw I am going to put an army in Volga in case Egypt gets bored, you may want to put one in Gorky or Murmansk next year.
07 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2000: My true goal of removing the purple stain will come to fruition mwahaha
07 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: I guess I missed a turn but I also guess it doesn't really matter, I can't take all of you on.
07 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: Part of me just wants to let Germany burn, another part of me just wants to make this a slow, painful death that will waste 10 days
08 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: @Germany, sorry for the stab. I didn’t see a way to really protect you based on our positioning. And letting other countries take you over seemed disadvantageous.
08 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: @Egypt, can you bump Seville?
08 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: Sorry France, but I couldn't was pretty sure Spain would attack me after I rebuffed them.

Ukraine I moved to Aze just incase you did. XD
08 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: Egypt, proud of you for securing Siberia
08 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: I reckon Germany decided not to draw it all out.

@Egypt, no worries. It all worked out!
09 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2000: Siberia never saw it coming...
10 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2001: @Egypt, you can take SVL.
@All, so we finish Germany this year and draw?
10 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2001: @Egypt I'll convoy Morrocco over into Svl if you'd like. (No point in doing anything else.)
10 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Uh, sure? Thanks!
10 Jul 18 UTC Spring, 2001: Sounds good to me.
11 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Oh you're gonna color in Urals, Poland? Cool
11 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Yup, that was my plan
11 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Urals are proper Egyptian lands obviously
11 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: No it's Spanish lands
11 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Burn
12 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: @Spain
@Germany

Good game y'all
12 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: I'll vote draw in the Spring!
12 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Good game.
12 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 2001: Good game all!
12 Jul 18 UTC Good game!
12 Jul 18 UTC GG!
