13 May 18 UTC Spring, 1901: Moderator: (ghug): Welcome to the 2018 Gunboat Tournament!

You've been placed into seven games. If you're not in seven games, you haven't received each power exactly once, or you feel you've been put in the tournament in error, please contact me as soon as possible.

Games have been paused to ensure that nobody misses a phase due to the abnormal nature of the game starts. If you have not voted unpause by Wednesday, May 15th, I will contact you and begin docking from your seven days of allocated pause time in one day increments. If you need a pause, please let me know.

Good luck!
21 Jun 18 UTC Autumn, 1909: Moderator: (ghug): A player has been replaced in this game. Due to the undefined end date of the pause, I'm going to let you all unpause yourselves. If this doesn't happen within a few days, please let me know.
10 Jul 18 UTC Autumn, 1909: Moderator: (dargorygel): unpaused... email the mods if you have an issue with this.

20 Sep 18 UTC Congrats dagabs, wp!
20 Sep 18 UTC gg everyone, but why a 2 month pause for a game?

I literally forgot about this game, til it popped back up and had no idea what it was....
20 Sep 18 UTC France, I did have a question, which probably cost us the game

Did you really think I stabbed you when I took brest? Your reactions after said you were convinced of a stab, but if you noticed Italy was in MAO, I had hoped for 2 things You bounced with me in brest, or italy bounced me out of there also, because if I had not got the bounce there, italy would have probably retreated there once I displaced him from MAO.

Looking for a little hindsite thought there
20 Sep 18 UTC Well I just joined for the tail end. Might have had a chance to stop him, but couldn't give up my homeland to England. Good job Dag.
20 Sep 18 UTC and him = her i think
20 Sep 18 UTC ok, that answered my question That was NOT a stab, that was me trying to keeep italy from brest.
20 Sep 18 UTC Check on both points. Stab you later.
20 Sep 18 UTC KalelChase, your play in this game was clearly game throwing. Did you have a good reason to throw the game to Italy, or did you not understand that this is what you were doing?
20 Sep 18 UTC Stressedlines, you did some surprising dot grabbing from me after I entered the game. It seemed to me hat the Italian solo threat was significant, and taking from Germany was...counterproductive to your win condition.
20 Sep 18 UTC Germany, I just sorta got lost since there was a 2 month pause, and realized afterwards what had happened

My position 2 months ago was different than now, so I had to re-think things again

I honestly almost missed the first turn back cuz i had no other games going I think,
20 Sep 18 UTC I think in general, nothing I did to germany had an immediate effect on things, but france certainly did not grasp what I did in Brest at all.

Even the double bounce in brest at the end was a head-scratcher
21 Sep 18 UTC Thx guys. I was certainly the beneficiary of some communication breakdowns (which is somewhat expected in gunboat, of course). The one thing I remember from before the ridiculously long pause was that the old Germany kept attacking England & France while leaving me alone, despite my growing solo chance.

But there was also a point - a few years back - when England & France seemed to be working well together & had me stuck at only 17 potential SCs, before mistrust clearly seeped in.
21 Sep 18 UTC We were but francr obviously missed what brest was and decided to hand the game out
