15 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1901: I just joined as France and I feel like... there was no France in the first place LIKE SERIOUSLY IT DIDNT MOVE...
16 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1901: I guess Turkey went AWOL as well.
16 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1902: Hi new Turkey here. looking for allies!
16 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1902: Maybe you can link up with France?
18 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1902: And Italy's out of the picture as well it seems... I wonder how many different players we'll end up cycling through by the time this finishes.
18 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1902: Hola a todos!

Have fun!
18 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1902: New Italy in game
21 Mar 18 UTC Spring, 1903: Oh noes!
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: I'm willing to agree to a Germany victory at this point.

With Russia going afk and Turkey hostile to AH and Italy, I don't think a reasonable defense against Germany can be organized.

Out of curiosity England, what was your plan? From my perspective it looked like Germany was benefiting much more from your alliance than you were, but I'm not privy to your private discussions.
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: I’m still fairly new to this interface. A few unexplained convoy failures prevented me from keeping up.
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: Oh, man I totally feel that.

It is too bad they don't have a drag and drop functionality or something.
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: Neither England nor Russia knew de wei
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: Show us de wei
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: They both had some indication that I was working with both of them but kept fighting each other and were rather okay with my non-committal presence. I basically just took all of France because they went afk and England let me.
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: I will show you de wei. I will expand de homeland for our glorious queen.
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: now I know de wei
26 Mar 18 UTC Autumn, 1904: *clicking noises*
04 Apr 18 UTC GG to all. Congrats Germany
04 Apr 18 UTC now we all know de wei
04 Apr 18 UTC GG everyone! If I may offer some advice to those of you who have had this game as one of your first, so that you may better know de wei;

England, I know part of the reason you ended up losing control over the situation was because of mistakes when inputting commands. That's unfortunate, and it does happen. While you did question whether there would be enough centers for you to successfully draw with me at some point, you should make it a point to be more proactive about keeping up with your allies rather than asking after the situation has progressed too much.

Russia, you were loyal to the very end to me. I can say that my solo would not have been nearly as achievable had you not been so obedient. If you continue to act this way in future games, your chances of success are rather low. Try to be a little more demanding of your allies and call them out when it looks like they're getting a little too big in comparison to yourself. Russia has the most potential of all countries from the beginning to win, but you handed victory over to me out of appreciation for all the tips I've given you throughout the game. I am very thankful for this, but I hope you learn to have more personal ambitions and encourage you to take what you've learned from your first game and use it in the future.

The rest of you sort of popped in as we had a lot of civil disorders, but I believe I should comment to Austria in particular; I'm also grateful you decided to surrender when it looked like I was going to achieve a solo, but you should be more confident and opposed to enemy solos, my friend! When the going gets tough, the tough get going! France, shame on you for giving up from the very beginning when you found yourself joining the game in an unfavorable position. At least try to convince someone you're worth being an ally to them! Italy, well played sir. It's unfortunate there wasn't much you could do by the time you joined. Turkey, same to you. I actually considered drawing with you and Russia a few times but the solo was just so easy to achieve.

Anyway, best of luck in your future games guys. Hope you had fun!
04 Apr 18 UTC I know when to hold them and know when to fold them.

If there had been any interest in coordination against you I would have been down for it, but invading AH was apparently the thing to do.
04 Apr 18 UTC So I guess if you wanted to accuse me of anything it was trying to play kingmaker, which is certainly true.

I find that gives additional enjoyment and strategic depth to a game you can no longer win.
04 Apr 18 UTC Thank you Germany
05 Apr 18 UTC Thank you as well Russia. Best of luck friend.
05 Apr 18 UTC @Austria, that's fair. I usually just like a bit more of a challenge even when I know I'm likely to win. I apologize if that seemed like an accusation of any kind, as that was not my intent.
05 Apr 18 UTC I usually like to give that challenge, but only Italy was willing to work with me and neither of us was really able to help the other.

With a hostile Turkey and Russia, even when you were clearly on your way to a solo victory, I didn't have any good options. Even then, I only offered my help to you when your victory was assured. You have 18 centers now, but you have twenty easy with the rest of England, my compliance was not a factor in the outcome in the game.
05 Apr 18 UTC That was a good debrief, Germany.
