16 Jan 18 UTC Ok. I bowed to the majority vote for a draw. Obviously France was toast and maybe in a higher stakes game it would have been worth whittling down to 3 (or 2? Tricky but we could have done it here maybe)
16 Jan 18 UTC Many thanks to Poland for being a great ally throughout. Apologies to turkey russian and Egypt. Particularly Egypt, a tough battle. (And Spain, was I making you nervous? Actually I was trying to make sure I pushed you back far enough so that if Poland tried a solo I was near enough to him to support you and stop him)

Good game all, thanks
16 Jan 18 UTC No hard feelings, Ukraine, well fought. :)
17 Jan 18 UTC good game everyone!

and thanks for being a great ally to you as well, ukraine. i wasn't trying to force the draw. i figured you were waiting on france to collapse, but i wanted to go ahead and signal my intent to draw instead of solo since otherwise some purely defensive 'just in case' builds/moves might have gotten misconstrued as positioning for war. also, if you had tried to solo, then my willingness to draw would be there for spain to see!
17 Jan 18 UTC Dammit. Shoulda screwed France then!
17 Jan 18 UTC It was a fun but also frustrating game this. I hoped for an alliance with France that could rival that of Ukraine and Poland, but I recon that our positioning on the map makes it difficult. The attack on Naples by France surprised and angered me, but I hoped the matter would be solved after I recaptured. As it turned out, trust never really recovered.

As it got obvious that the best we could hope for unless Ukraine or Poland stabbed the other was a draw, the final straw for me was the French disbanding of an army at York in 2006. Holding the line would have been difficult, but after that it was impossible. No hard feelings though.

And yes Ukraine - I was expecting a hard push into the central Mediterranean. Happy we could agree on a draw :)

GG everyone.
17 Jan 18 UTC GG indeed. I know I was a walking corpse here and didn't hoped for survival. The Polish-Ukrainian alliance was a death sentence to me and Spain got it right - our positioning made it all to difficult for trust and the Italian case was the end of it.

Concerning the Naples - I just wanted to move my fleet to the other side of Medi without "sailing" - coast to coast... so... that didn't end well.

Anyway - thanks or the game everyone!
