Spring, 1901: My squat is low and my tracksuit is stripey: I am ready. Everyone who has a province beginning in the letter 'B' best watch out. cyka etc
Spring, 1901: Good luck to everyone! And Russia, does this mean the Russia/Italy/England alliance is confirmed? |
|
Spring, 1901: Looks like France, Germany and Austria are Russia's targets. The edges of the board are aligning against the centre! We're doomed! Doomed!
Spring, 1901: Russian battle anthem: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8I8N4Me5r1I
Spring, 1901: First time playing Austria I fell like I am in the middle of a tank full of sharks..... help me
Spring, 1901: Austria is actually quite fun diplomatically. Everyone wants to eat you: Italy because your dots are closest to the Italian; Turkey because Turkey really likes getting Greece/Serbia, and Russia because Vienna and Budapest are pretty damn tasty too. And there's not much a poor Austria can do if all 3 decide to play bully.
Spring, 1901: Very true. I think the both can be said for Germany and Turkey though. A early allieance against the Turks or the Germans can also be inevitable destruction. You just have to play your cards right, and be slightly lucky that the whole board doesn't turn against you.
Spring, 1901: An early alliance against anyone is doom, really. if two or three people decide you ought to die and nobody comes riding in on a shining steed to save you, there's not much to be done.
Spring, 1901: Lets hope this does not happen
Spring, 1901: That is very true indeed.
Spring, 1901: Fingers crossed.
Autumn, 1901: Dammit Russia
Autumn, 1901: Context: Austria began the game demanding Rumania. He told me he didn't want it but I didn't believe him. Now I'm in Galicia :( Normally I would be happy about this as Russia.
Autumn, 1901: First missed turn, Autumn 1901. Nice. Very nice. I'm for cancelling if France doesn't submit any builds, we're early enough we can just start another one if necessary.
Autumn, 1901: same | |
Autumn, 1901: Apologies for missing a turn. Won't happen again.
Autumn, 1901: Now you get to pray England and Germany haven't gotten together in your absence :D
Autumn, 1901: Whelp Russia. may the best Country win :)
Spring, 1905: oh for crying out loud. I'm an idiot
Autumn, 1905: Hardly unique in this game.
Autumn, 1905: Am I right? Fellas?
Autumn, 1905: Exactly! We are all just a bunch of friendly idiots here :D
Autumn, 1905: If you're not going to bumrush Italy, at least tidy up Albania. Listen to the last request of a dying nation - eradicate border gore!
Autumn, 1905: Sure ;p. My army in Serbia is probably not going to do much anyway ;p
Spring, 1906: Controversy surrounds the Kaiser's decision to deny provisions to the army in Berlin. Newspapers decry the choice as "mad" and "irresponsible" but the Kaiser remains insistent that he "Liked the look of that other regiment better," citing the fact that they were "Plucky lads who made it all the way to Bohemia!"
Spring, 1906: Can we take this as fact that from this point forward Bohemia is the German Capitol?
Autumn, 1906: I guess it's no surprise you decided to invade.
Autumn, 1906: The season after they got into the Mid-Atlantic, even.
Autumn, 1906: Italy, you have been a invaluable resource in the great expanse of Turkey, your valiant sacrifice will not be forgotten and you'll be forever written in our great empire's history. Your memory will live on.
Spring, 1907: So Turkey, Russia, how about a draw when it's just you guys and me left, "worthy opponent" style?
Autumn, 1907: well, gg | |
Autumn, 1907: Rest in peace, Italy.
Spring, 1908: Well, it looks like the two ugliest colors are going to be the last two remaining.
Spring, 1908: I quite like the purple. It matches well with my sandy yellow.
Spring, 1908: Dumb question: how do I leave the game?
Spring, 1908: I don't think you can, really. But now that you don't have any units, you don't have to do anything.
Spring, 1908: I still get the message alerts, which is annoying.
Spring, 1909: I feel like this is somewhat of a shitty way to win ... but I don't see any sense in extending this game any longer, right?
Spring, 1909: You could help me take Germany back. I wouldn't say no.
Spring, 1909: I mean ... surely that is going to take like at least another 5 years. Perhaps it's better to simply end this game and start a new one? ;) It sucks that it ends with Russia going AFK but alas.
Great game everyone! Well played!
Well done. | |
Well played! Shame about Russia stepping out towards the end. |
